Yes. I did that but with format data. Thanks god it i have had sdcard backup so adb push sdcard was giving back most of my data.Have you tried flashing the ROM you want but a clean flash, then flash TWRP so you can see SDcard again and then adb push the backup to restore?

[CLOSED] [No longer maintained] [RECOVERY] [11] [OFFICIAL] TeamWin Recovery Project (8T / Kebab) (2022-03-09)
Introduction: Team Win Recovery Project or TWRP for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. We started from the ground up by taking AOSP recovery and loading it with the standard recovery options, then added...forum.xda-developers.com
I took it down as per some Dev's my commits are not good so I have decided to pull it down for temporarily until I fix my trees with proper commits and do a clean so other can also utilize my trees for their own referencesWell, it looks like @Siddhant221 has pulled his GitHub project so you can no longer download TWRP 12 from there.
So if you want a copy of the last working version (1.4) get it from this post https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...roject-8t-9r-2022-07-27.4473983/post-87479029
And if you are on OOS 13, then I recommend using the @Wishmasterflo's OrangeFox-R12.1-Unofficial-OPKONA-OOS13-* versions of Orange Fox https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ry-project-oneplus-8t-9r-13-nov-2022.4391139/
Glad to hear that. Thanks.I took it down as per some Dev's my commits are not good so I have decided to pull it down for temporarily until I fix my trees with proper commits and do a clean so other can also utilize my trees for their own references
To be more precise, the question is about backing up and restoring the data partition. Will backup and restore work (theoretically) if you make a backup on one custom rom, then attempt to restore on a different Rom? Or does it have to stay within the Rom it was backed up in?
