This is what I get.

Edit updater-script again and remove " nv_copy_blob_file("blob", "/staging"); "
Then it should work
You will loose root and recovery, easy to replace

As cwm can not do nv, unless the script is changed.

Tomsgt new tool 1.2 works great (if don't mind loosing all your data)

If your bootloader is lock use option 1 first then

1. use option 2 (install 4.3 update)
2. reboot and do a setup.
3. use option 3 (cwm recovery)
4. use option 5 (Full root)

at option 2 you can restore the device and when it ask you are asked to wipe just close the tool and reboot manually and you will keep you data.

Much appreciated by a complete novice to fastboot, updater scripts etc.
I have finally successfully installed the ota using Tomsgts tool.
Had a couple of worrying moments when it all seemed to freeze but made it in the end.

Since modding your TN7....
Have you got a bootanimation now and which brand ?

The boot animation is the same as it came with.
Starts of with tetra note then goes into advent Vega powered by etc.
The only strange thing I noticed was that when I first tried to boot into cwm it said "no command"
Then just sat on that screen.
After I restarted and got back into cwm using toms tool I did a system backup and now if I boot into cwm the correct screen appears.
Maybe me or this version of cwm but never noticed that before on any of my other devices.

It sounds like you booted into stock recovery

There a app(free) called Quick Boot, look it up on play

I think he needs to remove /system/etc/install-recovery.sh so it stops overriding CWM.

Yes I have quick boot installed and this boots into cwm with no problem.
It was just the first time I tried I had the problem.
As I say after I had done a backup no problem.
I think the whole system runs smoother now after the update or is it my imagination?
