Will any of these rom/root works on hp slate 7 extreme? I hate how hp is doing their own updates. We are stucked with 4.22
. i asked the same question in other threads and attached a picture of the tablet build and device id. If anyone did these on hp slate, or have any info on its workability, do inform here. Thanks! Sucks having the same tablet but lagging behind with updates and mods. Lol
My super tool script root should work for that device. Haven't tested it but should work it temp boots recovery and sends supersu.zip so you can flash it. Then reboots the device and you keep stock recovery. Give it a shot. It can't hurt the device since you are only temp booting recovery. :)

touchscreen working

touchscreen is working

The issue was that the kernel launches a userland blob, however for some reason recovery didn't like it. swapped it to an init based service and it's all working

just an updated.

The note I'm working on has a 6.5mb recovery partition, don't know if it's the same across all devices. The recovery compiles to be 8.4mb. I don't have the time to strip the kernel down, and parts of the kernel are so badly designed that if you start disabling unneeded features, you get undefined references (Thank you so much Nvidia and Android hackery for your bad implementations)

I don't have the time to keep working on it. I'll upload my sources soon, and either someone can sort the kernel, or I can look when I've finished up these things I need to do

I'm getting rid of my device. It's been in for repair twice now because of the usb port. It's just happened again today, no more USB.
So no more development from me at all on this device.

Whats happened to your USB port ?, hopefully hasn't snapped off. Isn't it a flex cable ?. I have looked on the web for part for the Tegra note 7 nothing is even out for spares for it. Not even the mobo which is odd.

It basically becomes so loose, you can't get a connection anymore. They've tightened it, and even replaced the DC board.. I'm surprised I've not seen anything about it. Not as if I use it aggressively...

I do agree that the USB ports do feel flimsy even mine doesn't feel great and thats from a new replacement.

I take it you can't solder a new Micro USB port onto the DC port ?.

It's within 28 days since it was last repaired. I can get a refund on the spot without any checks being done other than to see if it charges

Ah ok, I just hope mine doesn't go after all i am hunting down the SBK key lol or a way to translate the CPU UID to a SBK to help aid a proper unbrickable fix. Shaky i have managed to download the OTA on tablet and extract it this time.

@Shaky156 Hows the custom kernel coming on? I am personally starting to lose my rag with the tablet.

4.3 Android works great with Xpose and all my apps with no issues, but with 4.4.2-2.3 i seem to loose my Navigation bar and status bar every time unless i soft reboot the dam thing after its first boot.

It would be nice for a custom kernel so at least during boot up i can then use logcat from the word go so i can find the issue. Its doing my head in.

Not only that Nvidia didn't make the kernel or android optimised either with errors on CPU control the works.

Its so weird you asked this now, cause I was gna do some work on it today but stuff came up, ill see what I can do tonight, my tablets on the latest 4.4.2 but i havent even looked into it. Will attempt to make a start tonight if not tonight then sometime tommorow, just very busy.
Regarding you losing your bars thats to do with xposed, I have 0 issues with android 4.4.2 except for touchscreen sometimes which I want to look into that whenever i have the time

Its wierd my touch screen works sometimes and others not but the issues i am having i feel like throwing the tablet big time.

Clean dalvik-cache and the bars returns reboot and they go softreboot and they are back. If possible @Shaky156 when you build your kernel can you have it so that it is debuggable and adbd runs on boot as this will help loads.

Just flashed back to 4.3 as thats the only one that really works!

The kernel does not require modification for the system to use adb. Adb has worked before and still works now as far as im aware, if youre having issues could be something else causing it, maybe even your exposed module stuff. I have adb access without modifying kernel. Pm me details
