Sadly I cannot test this yet, but this seems that it does not entail how to unlock the bootloader first, before flashing recovery...

I can see OEM unlock option in developers settings on my phone.

After that no problem to unlock with "fastboot oem unlock" and flash TWRP... Normally...

I test this tomorrow.

I tryed this, it didn't work, if you like to unlock you have to fill a form which will send to realme...
so it was for the Realme 2 Pro

How it is for the Realme X2 Pro i try to figure out, with the normal adb command adb reboot bootloader you see shortly chinese Signs - thats all...
Anyway i send this filled form to realme, let's see what happens

just got this phone in the morning unfortunatey with the Chinese ROM any chance to get Global ROM on this and how to do it please ? Its very annoying not having Google Play Store or Youtube in Chrome with chinese symbols eberywhere even after setting up the Phone for English language

Realme Europe sends phone with worldwide roms (Google play store, you can change launcher and default app...)

So if I understand correctly, you need to flll in the form, and when this is approved by Realme, you can use that APK to unlock bootloader and only after that you can test the recovery, is that right?
Can you please share your experiences with us?

Same for me, i bought it at the website and 5 Days later it arrives with the global Software RMX1931, thats the Version Number
for international Software, with this Version you don't have chinese Signs, Launcher change is nP , Google Play Store is installed and so on...

You probably need to unlock your bootloader anyway so do that.. then you can boot to TWRP and flash GSI, should work just fine and give you clean Android experience ?

Managed to unlock the bootloader on the Chinese version. Successfully replaced stock recovery with this TWRP...unfortunately the screen freezes after splash screen. It shows swipe to modify settings but cannot swipe or do anything. At this point, the phone can be booted into the normal system. I tried to install magisk 19.3 TOOL ALL IN ONE. After that got an error message stating " The current image (boot/recovery) has been damaged and the system cannot boot.

How to upgrade
Update the software version on your realme phone

Notice:
Please back up your data before updating: Settings>Additional Settings>Back Up and Reset>Backup & Restore, select the Data to Be Backed up.
Please keep the battery level over 30%.
Please do not turn off your phone during the update process.
How to update?

(((Simple mode)))

Transfer the firmware you downloaded to the phone storage, go to the File Manager and find the firmware,then click the firmware,Update Now,and wait for the update to succeed.

(((Recovery Mode)))

Transfer the firmware you downloaded to the phone storage(in the main folder in file manager) or SD Card, then power off the phone. Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons, until your phone enters Recovery Mode.
Choose the language you want
Install from storage device,and find the firmware From phone storage or From SD card
Click on the firmware and confirm to update
Please do not perform other operations until your phone is updated successfully

I got an update 1 hour ago but that is a differant Version: RMX 1931EX_11_A.06, i stay in France and bought it over the official Website... Just that you know, that the Version above is not that what comes actuelly from Realme for European customer

Yes, a lot of things are working that does'nt in the chinese Rom, e.g. Launcher Change, dark mode etc. There's also the November Security Patch included.
