I am using the same update procedure as the other guy on the linked thread. I invented it myself but i see other people found it reliable as well No problems ever and i am rooted on 11.1.2.2 .
Hello can you please give me a guide on how to install twrp with the test image you have. I'm able to fastboot it. Not sure what to do after that don't want to brick my phone.

Hello can you please give me a guide on how to install twrp with the test image you have. I'm able to fastboot it. Not sure what to do after that don't want to brick my phone.
1. Fastboot CrDroid twrp.
2. In CrDroid Twrp install the official twrp and nothing else.
3. If you want to do anything in recovery reboot to recovery. After rebooting you will be in the official TWRP and can use it for anything.
4. If you don't want to do anything in recovery reboot to system.
Hope this works for you. After you have Magisk install everything just through Magisk it's just much more reliable and works 100% for everyone.
Cheers !

CrDroid is "fajita_twrp-3.5.2_11-0_test3.img" *for 6t*. Install this in fastboot, it will boot into twrp. Then install 3.6 like you said. Reboot recovery (important !!) so you will be using the 3.6 and NOT the test3 one.... then install Magisk and reboot.
Good luck :)

Hello friends, I have a big problem with my Oneplus 6T... succesfuly unlock bootloader but I cannot install twrp... of course, with the command "fastboot boot recovery.img"... I tried with mauronofrio twrp and with twrp-3.6.0_9-0-fajita.img from twrp.me. Both cases same problem... dump crash mode... I tried 5-6 times... nothing... I'm frustated, I don't know what to do... Can somebody help me please?!? Thank you.

Please read my previous posts. Your answer is already there, just few posts ago. Not nice asking others what you can easily read alone.

Use crdroid recovery to fastboot boot.... :

Enchilada: https://mega.nz/file/NXpQ0Jyb#k6c8sVDxVFvB57Ra7E-yqnB3Tsc61tioozmR88DxwhI

Fajita: https://mega.nz/file/pWgw2ZrR#djR1vBwh64yNcr3XnrDO2DCACPndTd8x5Z5-wTxTanQ

Then when it boots use it to flash the latest twrp install zip. You need the latest one, don't use crdroid for roms and such. Just to boot it from fastboot. Then reboot. Profit 😀

Hoping this is not too off-topic: This is regarding the crdroid recovery for the OnePlus 6 enchilada.

I fastboot flash boot enchilada_twrp-3.5.2_11-0_test3 and upon reboot to recovery, it is stuck on the teamwin home page and doesn't go any further to the TWRP modification slider.

I'm wondering if there's another link to crdroid twrp recovery for OnePlus 6 enchilada?

Edit: I got unstuck through some roundabout process of removing the usb cable, holding down the vol-down and power buttons simultaneously, plugging in the cable until the computer makes a beep and recognizes the device. Then I could adb reboot bootloader. But funnily booting to System boots into recovery. What happened to the system?

Hi sorry to bother. Just now able to get to doing this. After I fastboot the img. It's the twrp 3.6 zip I install not the img? Correct. Sorry been many moons

I installed offical TWRP v.3.6.0_9-0 on A12 PXOSP ROM and it works fine, but just that data is encryped. Is there any way to get data decrypted in this TWRP? Thanks.

Doesn't it ask for a decryption key when you start TWRP ? If yes, use the pin you use to unlock the device. If not, that's a big bummer.

Sorry to ask but Im trying to install Havoc os and the question I have is after I boot twrp from the crdroid recovery do I still flash the twrp zip as the guide for the rom on Xda says its not necessary to flash twrp zip as it is inclined in the room itself so do I still flash zip file?

I had updated to the latest OOS 11.1.2.2 and tried to flash several different TWRP versions including the ones from the OP. None of them worked for me on the 6T through the command "fastboot flash boot twrp.img" or "fastboot boot twrp.img" except the one on THIS page. Just thought I would share this info for anyone else still having trouble.

Wait the recovery I used to upgrade to this rom was crdroid recovery:https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...covery-for-oneplus-6t-stable.3861482/page-217 it worked the same
