You have to "wipe date" after you installed the Rom. But you don't do a normal wipe. You have to use the Format Data option from recovery. Otherwise you will get a bootloop and won't be able to boot your rom.

Also did the flashing process ended without errors? I also tried to flash ArrowOS with TWRP but was getting errors. So I decided to try with Orange Fox and could flash my rom without issues

Yes you can use an USB otg to install. That's the reason that you format data AFTER flashing your rom, because everything will be lost after formatting. Also you don't need to do "wipes" you need to use the Format Data option as seen in the attached image. I didn't wipe caches in both flashing rom attempts that I have tried until now.

That's correct. By the way I have read that it is recommended to wait until after the first boot if you want also to install Magisk. Reboot to recovery again and flash only the Magisk zip file.

Maybe you thought like me that flashing methods are somewhat complex with the Poco X3 compared to previous devices I previously owned. I also was pretty lost when I started to read XDA guides but with some patience you will get your rom working soon.

Help please...
I can't make TWRP persistent, in any way
Surya 128 gb, just unlocked, stock rom 12.0.8

I succesfully flash twrp via fastboot, then reboot in twrp again (tried both by fastboot reboot recovery or by powering off in twrp and restarting with vol up+power, same result), first time it reboot succesfully in twrp, then i restart into miui, then power off and restart again in recovery...and always find the stock one has overwritten twrp
I just followed the recommended steps, don't understand where i'm wrong 🤯

If the phone stopped seeing the SD card, then how to recover files from it? Does it make sense to connect it to a PC and use Uneraser or other similar software? It looks like the SD card is dead.

Hi, I need help. I have tried to install the official Miui 11 rom with this recovery and with another twrp and it always gives me an error. I think error 1 or 7 but it never finishes installing it. It also gives me an error when trying to install the Xiaomi.eu rom with android 11. Any solution? Should I use another recovery? Thank you

Team Win Recovery Project 3.x, or twrp3 for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. Its a fully touch driven user interface no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.

    Code:
    #include <std_disclaimer.h>
    /*
     *
     * We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
     * you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.
     *
     */

    Features:
    - Decryption works
    - Otg works
    - Flash Rom works
    - F2FS support
    - Fastboot boot command support

    Not working:
    - Fastbootd
    - Adb sideload
    - Backup restore and image flash (system-vendor-product)
    - Android 11 fully support
    - Touch works

    TWRP 3.4.0-14 Unofficial by mauronofrio
    TWRP 3.4.0-12 Unofficial by mauronofrio

    To Flash the TWRP:
    Code:
    fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.3.1-xx-xxxxxx-mauronofrio.img
Then reboot in TWRP manually or using a fastboot command.
    Code:
    fastboot boot twrp-3.3.1-xx-xxxxxx-mauronofrio.img
    or
    Code:
    fastboot oem reboot-recovery
REMEMBER: is important that from fastboot you directly go in TWRP mode or the TWRP will be overwritten.

ℹ️ Brigudav latest TWRP is 3.5.2_10-5 (as posted to the relevant thread (https://forum.xda-developers.com/posts/85191433).
And of course it still basically contains my script that he has stolen from me multiple times since March 2021 without even apologizing once for his despicable behavior or admitting his guilt. There's not one single trace left of the origins and history of the original script. No credits, no remorse. Nothing.

That's a totally unacceptable behavior that should not be tolerated! Cyber piracy and plagiarism is illegal and such criminal behavior is a huge slap in the face of not only the original developer himself, but all the project contributors as well as the entire open source community as a whole! Can you still look into the mirror sometimes? @brigudav
He even copy pasted the latest version of my script and then he renamed all variables and functions to some random meaningless letters, moved some things around , added some made-up bogus functions that do absolutely nothing and then he released it as his own! He probably stole every single version that I ever released (and I released at least 30 different versions)...
He totally obfuscated the code but I can still recognize my own handwriting in his source code. He's probably thinking now that he has raped my script for 6 months (!) and disfigured it beyond recognition he can call it 'his own' and get away with it unscathed? Think again you thief! You really need to learn what respect , manners and code of conduct among fellow developers means!

Wait. Did you really stop hacking and raping my update-binary in your latest dubious TWRP version? After having abused and tortured my update-binary for your own disturbed psycho-games pleasure for at least 5 months! That was just absolutely wrong on so many levels! I am happy that finally after 5+ months of abuse, even you, have realized that it was just very very wrong. You are making slow progress ! @brigudav

Imagine all the great things you could do with your skills if you weren't busy stealing, hacking and abusing other people's hard work and releasing them as your own...

How do I know if my poco x3 is Surya or Karna?
I'm using MIUI Global 12.0.7.0 (QJGMIXM)

    M2007J20CG - Surya
    M2007J20CI - karna

That's the only difference? Just wondering.

Surya With NFC - Karna Without
    Surya With 5160 battery - Karna 6000
    Surya Global - karna Indian

dismiss the model name you can simply check The battery amount :∆
    2
This is a huge win also for X3, isn't it?

Thank you mauronofrio and all the other developers!

useless changelog for devices shipped with android 10.

the only 2 things useful in TWRP till now are : flashing custom rom.zip & creating /data backup ...

otherwise all features (wiping, erasing, flashing .img/.bin ...etc) are available in fastboot & fastbootd

The main feature in TWRP is still not available for android 10 ... and i don't think that creating a backup/modding dynamic partitions will be available soon !

i'm trying something special now ... but it's still not working !

do you need to unlock recovery to flash twrp? unlocking will cause data erase, right? is it possible to do it without data loss?

Yes for first two questions . No for the 3rd One.
