No just a Black screen, Seams like is off, i don't know, TWRP boots but get stuck at recovery for ever.

I'm using SM-T111M, i don't know but seams that those Recoveries not work on SM-T111M.

I don't know whats wrong with the recovery's everytime I do a factory reset from the settings the tablet won't boot the ROM it goes direct to recovery.Even if I want to flash a ROM again from the recovery it flashez and won't work it goes back to recovery.

At the first time TWRP was good, but after the second factory data reset only recovery loop...

Now the same with CWM.. so time for stock kernel (or firmware), than I'll try with CWM.

I have tried now this from the OP: CWM Recovery 6.0.4.8

Same problem: First time installs fine, than after second factory data reset + format system & data only recovery loop..

I'll try as next to install the stock kernel every time, but first I try your new version..

If you format system, then you erase your OS and it will not boot.

Yes I know..

I'm building my custom Rom.

The linked new version doesn't work for me(?) I lost the recovery with it.
Download mode and boot the system is OK, but no recovery only black screen after 5 Minutes.

If I wait 30 sec on the black screen and than press power (short), than the tablet reboots, so I think recovery is there but the screen doesn't turns on.

Strange...

After the 10th try CWM recovery showed up.

The new version it's better, isn't so crazy by swipe. (the old one made too many jump with one swipe)
The font colors are OK. With the old one the first line was blue (reboot system now option), second red, third yellow, etc... like an rainbow

If I boot to the recovery from Rom Toolbox, than it's OK.
With the 3 button combination isn't easy at most of the tries black screen only... (longer than 30 sec)

But now after the third reset + format system & data only recovery loop..

Also two times after clean install my custom Rom booted up, but the third time not.

edit:
Now when the tablet had recovery loop again flashed the new version, but didn't solved the loop.
Rainbow mode ?... as I see isn't bug.. :laugh:

Good news!

Found the problem and it isn't in the recovery..

I toke the updater-script from an other Rom and didn't checked it. (fast way)

The problem was this line:

format("ext4", "EMMC", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p15", "0");

It formats a bit more as it should and causes recovery loop.

So, long it's removed from the updater-script TWRP 2.7.0.1 works fine. :good:

Already installed my Rom three times afterwards without problem.

No I can build my Rom. Thank you! :good:

same here tried 2 roms ended up flashing sammy ,and i'll stick to that (rooted of course) there's no use in keep on trying it just wont work .

Yeah. I didn't tried reset from the settings.

True after doing it recovery loop.

Can provide me the settings you used for the compiling for that model? The point behind is, that I try to work on a CWM (and then maybe for a cusom rom and kernel) for the I8200. The Specs seem to be complete the same except the display size.
I have worked a lot and try to learn which data and settings I need for compiling a cwm on a CM10.1 basis, but I must say that I did not success up to now. So I would appreciate very much if you can provide some infos or maybe some sources which you used for the T110

I cannot confirm above findings.

TWRP 2.7.0.1 which I Odin-flashed, gives my the same darn recov-bootloop as all other custom-recovs. Only stock recov boots up properly.

maybe the RAMdisk is the problem, there is a dir /cache/recovery with fstab asf. which might force the T110 into never leaving recov.

Deletion or formatting /cache brings back that dir on next reboot. stock ROM probably does not generate that dir (and script inside it) and therefore probably boots up into Android GUI as usual. :crying:

On that second reboot, the fstab and .sh file was gone from /cache/recovery. This seems to confirm my above "theory" on the cause of the bug.

thanks. it may be a simple bug in a script which forces the recov-bootloop on the SM-T110 when custom recovs are being used.

I tried both. I don't believe it makes a difference.
