You mean to port the current one to the ICS beta?

I believe everything needed is already in the metadata used by nvflash to repartition it (ie the new partition map) besides that it's just the new bootloader and new kernel.

I dont plan on installing the beta any time soon as I dont have time to repartition my S7, it usually takes a dozen or 2 builds till I get something fully working.

Most I can offer right now are the makefiles I used to generate CWM 5.0, though they dont work with making 5.5.

It doesnt fix it per-se, CWM 4.0 is bugged when it comes to fac resetting, CWM 5.0 merely fixes it by reformatting correctly.

Android cant tell the difference between a corrupt /data partition and an encrypted /data partition.

Welcome. I wanted to do a backup and when I go in a backup option I get the message mount sd card fail. I tried the backup option from internal sd card and the backup works. Possible to somehow do a backup on the SD card? Let me add that when I come in and do advencer mount / sdcard also have a message: mount sdcard fail. Can it be repaired? Sorry for my poor English.

Can your device see the mem card while in android?

It might be something about your card or the slot on your device.

Try reformatting it either on a pc or on your device until it see it i guess.

I thought that CWM 5.0.2.7 problem with mounting external_sd was a know problem and I believe that it's even mentioned earlier in this thread? I had the same problem under HC. CWM 4.0.1.4 doesn't have that problem. Neither will perform a Nandroid backup under ICS beta4.

This CWM5.0 isnt compatable period with the ICS beta, if it actually worked on it something went terribly wrong.

I looked at the source files, and I dont believe there are any inherent issues with the sdcard. Doesnt mean that there's no issues at all though.

Stock HC, CWM5 can't mount the external sd, CWM4 does and will do a Nandroid backup. CWM4 with ICS beta4, fails Nandroid with "Can't mount /data!" but in Post #14, you state that it's broken. Never tried to restore a Nandroid backup because my goal was to switch between stock HC and the ICS beta4 but since Nandroid backup from ICS beta4 fails, so does my goal.

That was before I rechecked the source files, and it seems to work correctly.

DJ_Steve has his own builds of CWM, mine were based on his but it's not really related anymore, mine are intended for stock 5xx, his are for HS/ICS-beta. The HS one isnt compatable with ICS-beta either.

None from mine are compatable with his and vice-versa.

ICS-beta/HS/5xx are not compatable with eachother at all as they're all partitioned different.

Summery:
Stock 5xx: CWM5.0 only
HS: Bundled CWM4 only
ICS-beta: bundled CWM only

the HS and ICS CWMs arent cross comptable like stated.

I cant speak for HS/ICS but stock 5xx cant support usb mounting due to the kernel itself not supporting it, I need someone to make a custom kernel specifically for CWM5.x to add USB mounting back. I do not expect at all to support usb mounting till someone makes a kernel mod to reenable USB-MSD at the kernel level.

Welcome. The unit sees the card at the android and I support it. I have three on each card and the same thing happens. I wanted to reformat it into CWM and get the message: make_extf4fs failed on /dev/block/mmcblk2p2:mad:

Does your card have multiple partitions? I have not tested CWM 5.0 with multiple partitions, I removed the stuff for that as you cant normally use them on the S7
