Description
After flashing this image your device will permanently use ClockworkMod recovery version 3 with kernel 2.6.32. If you didn't understand that sentence, close this browser window right now.

Download
ClockworkMod recovery v3.0.2.8

Install
You can only install this recovery if you've successfully written the S-OFF bootloader by Alpharev. For the fake-flash solution read the next post.

In fastboot mode:
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash recovery cwm-recovery-3028.img
You could also use flash_image:
Code:
adb push cwm-recovery-3028.img /sdcard
adb shell flash_image recovery /sdcard/cwm-recovery-3028.img

Ha haa! I was wondering when we'd get this. I have it on my Tab, my phone was beginning to feel out-dated. Lol

Could you stick an image of the current one up, in case things go wrong?

EDIT:

Actually, does this piss around with ext4, or is it just tablets Koush is wanting to do that to?

v3 its same v2.5 but just for S-off users or have different and more options ?
You can use 2.5 with S-OFF too, doesn't make a difference.

It's for those who really want the whole S-OFF/custom recovery/custom android experience (like Nexus One or Nexus S).

The .29 kernel used in 2.5 doesn't support ext4 though, so if you want to experiment with ext4 on your device you will need a kernel that supports it.

What are the steps to change the default FS to ext4? Thanks in advance

Why it wouldn't be. There is absolutely no difference in using flash_image either from terminal emulator in normal mode or from recovery mode or even directly from fastboot...
