thanks, i flashed recovery. Now i dont need roommanager and other metod to install new roms and others things.
As far as I'm aware of it there were some devices shipped with S-OFF, but it was incomplete in terms of actual write access to the /system and /recovery partitions. But my Legend was shipped to me directly from HTC already S-OFF.
Hi there,
I'm running in some king of situation here...
I had ClockworkMod 2.5 and wanted to use UOT kitchen which is talking about ClockworkMod 3 so, googled it and found your thead. So far so good.
Ran the fastboot option of the update as per post 1 for 3.0.2.8.
Reboot, back to the system
Launched ROM Manager and there, it still said 2.5 a current and latest version.
Wanted to reboot again just to check as the actuall install took 1.5 sec to complete and since then, I'm stuck on the splashscreen.
Fastboot is acessible and I can run fastboot command from the computer but completely lost access to adb and recovery.
Any idea please?
And he never willMine says 2.7.0.8 in the rom manager but is this clockworkmod recovery, maybe its because Koush doen't officially support this one yet?
Nice one! *high-five*Thanks bonesy but I've found what the problem actually was: using a Legeng ClockworkMod for a Desire DOES NOT WORK!
Found a 3.0.0.5 version for my Desire, flashed again and I'm back in business
Sorry guys. Let me just desapear now...
Do you still have the fake-flash on the sd card? Rom manager does (as far as I recall) report the version of the update.zip file from the sd..Mine says 2.7.0.8 in the rom manager but is this clockworkmod recovery, maybe its because Koush doen't officially support this one yet?
It's faster, has a new format for backups and it's blueI've noticed today that an update for CWM is available...vers 5.0.0.1. I've installed it via ROM Manager but I didn't find any topic about it. What's new in this version?
Sent from my Legend using XDA App
Well, as the version in ROM Manager is "official" from koush it comes in Fake-flash format (he assumes that everyone is still S-ON) so it doesn't need S-OFF. I'm hoping Ali Ba (or someone) will compile a version for flashing to /recovery, but I'm happy with the fakeflash oneThank's TGM...the "blue" thing I've noticed also. I'll see the others in time. It's using edify scripting I guess like 3.x. and I also saw that you don't need to be S-Off to install it. (as in this thread for 3.x CWM was a different procedure for install and also S-Off was recommended)
