Re: [KERNEL & RECOVERY][PA & CM10 & CM10.1] TWRP 2.4.0.0beta Touch Recovery [2013-01-

I didn't download it, but I have long been looking for a recovery with touch supported, exactly like your kernel

However, safety always comes first. My knowledge about kernel, scripts or devices is really weak, that s why when I see it's still Beta, I ll prefer waiting till a safe usable version is out

I really wanna give a try :)

You will need to flash CM10.1 first, then flash this kernel second. Flashing a CM nightly will replace this kernel with the CM stock kernel. You will need to reflash this kernel after flashing each nightly.

Why I need CM10.1 kernel first? Isn't this kernel the same? I didn't found original cm kernel so I flashed this one, rebooted recovery and flashed cm nightly... I was on SVA rom before.

When you flash CM nightly it flashes the standard kernel and recovery. To retain TWRP you will need to reflash after each nightly

The beta was a reference to functionality, not safety. TWRP 2.4 is now out of beta. I will upload new build in the next hour or so.

Yeah,I know this. I was just wondering if I need to first install the cm kernel on the phone, if it was previously installed Samsung rom

TWRP works well

TWRP 2.4 is now out of beta. New builds uploaded
Dear timstanley1985
Your TWRP works flawlessly.
Thanks for bringing TWRP to the GNote N7000.
TWRP has always been much easier to use than CWM recovery.

Keep on the good job.
Please do not forget to add it to GooManager repo as soon as you get an account ;)

I can't seem to figure out how to scroll through a list of files. The default action is select if I touch the screen. Any suggestions?

EDIT: Never mind. You have to put your finger on the icons in front of files and directories...

I have this problem too since I scroll over a long list...
Another problem is I can't find any folder in Restore

scrolling has been a bit flaky for me too, i find aroma is the same too. the trick is to "flick" the list i.e dont press the screen then scroll, hit the screen with your thumb in a sweeping action and let go of the screen before you thumb stops moving. Have been using this and aroma for a few months now and still get it wrong
