seems cray_Doze has a nice CWM Recovery already working for variants of this device :)


i have just slightly adjusted it so that it works on Xperia S JB properly...

attached is CWM Recovery 6.0.3.0 for LOCKED bootloader!

all credits go to @cray_Doze for posting this for the Japanese variants!


i have done some testing like backup & restore and it works fine!



[ requirements ]

rooted STOCK JB ROM .200 with busybox installed



[ instructions ]

  1. download the attached file and save it on C:\
  2. EXTRACT THE ENTIRE FILE CONTENTS
  3. go to extracted folder and execute cwm-install-en.bat
  4. follow the on-screen instructions



[ how to enter recovery? ]


once recovery is installed keep pressing VOLUME UP key when u see SONY logo!

Is this based on the cwm v2 for ics? If so then does it have the cwm bug where you have to flash the cwm.zip within cwm?

i dont think so.. this seems to be freshly compiled 2-3 days back


I have a unlock bootload, original rom B.0.200 can i use this for recovery to root my phone pls?

    make sure you unzip the zip file to either your desktop or C;\drive and run the .bat from there...

    i just tested on a CLEAN install of my pre-rooted ROM and its working correctly...

    please check your setup...

      Workimg ok for me, any way @DooMLoRD you wroted in op also for doomkernel / for now only for unkocked bootlader/ does this mean there is a possibility in future to port kernel on unlockable device (like mine) or its a typing error? :eek:
