Are you not able to install or read from your micro sdcard?

only if i mount internal as sdcard... cwm mod by solarnz i can do just fine with the microsd... if i try to run a backup or anything without mounting the internal as sd i get an error unable to mount sd card same as before.

Sorry to hear that bro :( The only thing I can think of is a formatting issue. You can either use solarnz recovery or reformat your sdcard using a free android app.

I need some help. I am on stock rooted 3.2 and just got an SD today. The weird thing that I noticed is that the /sdcard directory is actually the internal memory and the sdcard data is at mnt/internal1. With that said, I put this Tiamat rom on the SD card so I can flash it (I have CWMrecovery...the one from the app not the one in the DEV section) but when I go to recovery CWM thinks that /sdcard is the SD card when in actuallity the tiamat zip is in mnt/internal1. How do I get through this? I'm not flashing anything till I can do a nandroid saved to the sdcard...but if CWM recovery doesn't acknowledge the sdcards actual directory I can't do squat!

Sounds like the wrong recovery... did you get it through rom manager? Recommend uninstalling it, downloading solarnz's cwm recovery (found in several threads here) and install the recovery via adb from your pc. Should solve your problem, then you can upgrade to the rogue recovery (also found in these forums or on xoomforums)

Any reason I couldn't\shouldn't flash the recovery.img from the archive directly with fastboot?

I've got a Xoom en route, gonna break some records for unbox --> root --> CFW :)

hi all, looking for some advice here. got into a boot loop so i punched up recovery and proceeded to attempt a factory reset and i'm getting an 'error formatting /data ... read-only'.

i brought up adb and to rm -rf the offending file and am seeing Read-only file system being reported there as well.

I tried 'Fix permissions' a couple of times just in case, but that didn't seem to change anything. Anything else I can do with recovery or am I hosed?

thanks in advance

EDIT: Can probably ignore this at this point. I went through down to the next level and flashbooted the stock images and have the Xoom back up now. Thanks.

Thanks for the updated image! Everything worked as expected and am really enjoying the boost in functionality you added to the ui!

Why doesn't ROM Manager detects this Recovery as a CWM recovery?! It always asks me to install it again :/
I don't even use rom manager for this device as 1) there are no roms to be installed from the app and 2) installing CWMR via rom manager overrides the custom recovery installed via this thread. So to answer your question; rom manager doesnt recognize this recovery as it is customized resulting in the prompting to install from the app...

just a quick (noobish) question, are there any "gotcha's" or warnings if i wanted to replace my existing recovery (from here):

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074979

with the current rogue recovery in this thread?

I have a US wifi only xoom, unlocked and rooted, with the above referenced recovery image. running Tiamat Moray/ odachi kernel.

I'm just covering my bases to make sure that if i wanted to try out the rogue recovery, i can still flash tiamat or xoom zone roms to my hearts content without worry (assuming i follow all instructions carefully, of course)

thanks in advance,

-ryan
