I had to try more than once with Goo Manager. I just made sure the screen stayed on while it downloaded and flashed successfully
I have a question, if i have made all my backups with cwm, can they be restored with TWRP2?

I have a 64GB card and can backup to it, I guess it's formatted to fat32.
Is the time and date supposed to be incorrect? Can it be set somehow? I know the time zone can be set.

Its a known issue right now. Just rename your backups after you create one. You can do it within TWRP. Just don't use spaces.
Does this have the option to restore advanced data from previous backups you made using TWRP?
Yes, when you select the backup to restore you can uncheck partitions that you don't want to restore before swiping to restore.
I believe it does. When you go into restore, you'll have the option of what you want to restore. Just choose data and you should be good to go.
Do you have to unroot get rid of cwm to be able to use twrp...or can you keep both.
You don't have to unroot, and you can only have 1 recovery.
I did the goo method and had CWR installed, and it flashed TWRP right over it with no problems.
My back up of the original stock Rom was done with cwm...which would make it unusable with twrp...so what do do now...unroot back to stock...then install twrp and do back up of stock rooted Rom...or are there other ways to get to grandma's house....thanks for any help...if you say uninstall cwm my next question would be how....thanks.
Restore your CWM recovery then install TWRP recovery then make a back up of that and so on.

Just flash the latest stock rom by freeza and make a backup. That's what I did

I believe he wants to keep the saved copy of his original stock rom backup which he first did on cwm.

Although what you recommend would also be just fine as well and maybe even easier. I know sometimes people just want to keep what originally came on their device.

What you could do is ....
Install TWRP, make a backup of your system as it currently is.
Install CWM, Restore the backup you made a while ago of stock
Install TWRP, make a backup of what you just restored.
Then restore the first backup you made with TWRP and delete the clockwork backup
