If you have a 64GB card that's formatted as exFAT then recovery won't be able to mount it. You can reformat to FAT32 to fix. If not, then pull a log and paste it to a paste site and give me the link. I might be able to sort it out for you.
there's no mount button. for internal or external

Installed goomanger...then hit install openrecovery...it just sits there saying looking for recovery....anyone have any ideas..thanks
Try closing the app completely and then try again on WiFi. It took me a couple of times before the download actually started. Also make sure to keep the screen on until completely downloaded and received the notification that it actually flashed

Do you mean format data? Your lucky you got an error. Read what format data does before using it. It wipes sdcard, backups, pretty much could ruin your day if you weren't expecting it.

Just Flash It !!!
I havent used TWRP before.. always AnonRA and Clockwork. I havent seen a script for wiping the SGS3 other than the one that was posted in the first couple of days of the phone's release and I thought there were some issues with that script.

How do you do a full wipe through TWRP?

Yup, please don't use that script unless you want problems. TWRP is so easy to use and has so many features that once you use it, you will forget about those other recoveries.

Just to be clear, "format data" should not touch sd cards, only the data partition. The data partition contains some media files like notification tones, wallpapers, etc., but not your photos or music.
