I don't get why do you have to remove the links? If this recovery is better than tenfar's, you could at least leave the links up for the people that wants to install it.

Anyway thanks for your work and good luck :)
About it is possible to someone to send me a link to the latest version available by MP, please ?

By the Way thanks to kb7sqi for the job done :)

First post has been updated w/ link again. Like it says, for now, while I do have plans to come back to working on #android, till that time, this is unsupported. That's why the link was removed. I'm glad people have found it useful. Be back soon. :) Take care.

The fix_permissions script does exactly what it sounds like. It's a standard script that's been included w/ recoveries for quite some time. It simply does a fix permissions on your apps/data. Take care.

First post has been updated w/ a new version. This version adds the option to power off your Defy from the recovery menu. Simply upgrade your version/re-install your recovery. Enjoy. I also provided a link to the original version. Take care.

Could you please explain what permissions in there are in need of fixing? :)

And also - most important thing for me - Is there any way to enter this recovery instead of original one when phone is off?

Can I get into the CWM recovery using the Stock recovery's update.zip ... I mean

Volume(-) + Power On >>>>> [STOCK RECOVERY]

Now by pressing update.zip directly get into the CWM recovery.

Is it possible ?

because I had backup of the stock ROM in my sdcard and when sometime I get stuck by doing some silly modification in framework.res :) it only reboot again.. again and ... again.

So if u people make it possible by using update.zip than it is really very helpful and appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I tried installing this today and it did not work.
All appears fine during install, but when I reboot to recovery mode I just get a black screen.

I have had clockworkmod working before on my stock rom (Diff version tho, not sure where I got it, filename is defy_recovery-1218-0326-signed.apk)

I am in the process of trying to flash this 2.2 rom.

Someone in the xda IRC said to use "ROM Manager" from the marketplace as that installed clockworkmod, but when I installed that, it only listed the Milestone, Droid and Droid X. In trying to scroll the list to see if there was more, I accidentally clicked Milestone.

Now, when I try to install this version or the original (Known working on my stock 2.1 rom) version, neither work - I get a black screen in recovery mode.

Any ideas??
