I have quick question abt this twrp. Sorry if it's a noob question .

On my old device I did a twrp backup and restored it. After that system could not be mounted and mods didn't work.

It happened to my friends 3t too.

So if I take a twrp backup then restore it. Should it be able to mount system or is it a feature sorta. Or should it act normally after restore?

I also flashed it on oos encrypted works perfectly.

(Hopefully this is the only twrp we need for a while)

Thanks

What the advantages of this TWRP? I did a nandroid on this and just restored it. Took 220s to restore (took 85s on Bluspark). Also stuck on 1+ splash for 3 minutes, so I rebooted to TWRP, clear cache, and rebooted. All good. I'm encrypted on 5t ob1. Just curious what might be adding to the bu and restore times (same size bu).

For OOS you have to backup system as image. Normal system backups do not work for OOS (said some users). Never has worked.

I'm on my op5t running h2os oreo 8.0 version. It's encrypted. I haven't unlocked the bootloader yet.Now I want to:1. Flash the rec then flash Magisk manager to get root.2. Install another 8.1ROM in Dual Boot. Except for unlocking bootloader, what should I do? Thx:)Screenshot_20180106-160850__01.jpg

Unlocking bootloader resets the device.
No special steps needed after that.

Did you change any settings in TWRP, I can see my USB via OTG in blu spark TWRP but not on this one.
Hello mate,

Just go to mount and enable USB, now browse with file manager and look for USB and click on it and your files will be shown now. That's all.

Regards ysco..
