P10

Hi to everyone,
first of all thanks to Pretoriano80 for his work on TWRP :).
Does anyone know if this TWRP works on P10 with stock ROM and custom ROM? I would like to know if these features work:
  • backup and restore stock ROM
  • backup and restore custom ROM
  • install gapps after installing custom 8.1 ROM
Thanks ENx

There's already a version of it for P10, use that one. It's working only with EMUI, not 8.1 custom roms.

There's no source for this build, but with some changes you could make the available sources work with Mate 9.

Can you update your github with your last "twrp_bkl_0.7.img" please ?

I have manage your repo for hi3660.
I have now a working twrp and my lineage15.1 build working now with.
Just twrp stay in boot splashscreen after my lineage15.1 build.
Thanks for your work

There's nothing to update, these are 2 different projects, honestly i never released an image build from those sources, just used them privately on my Mate 10 Pro.
And the one built from sources never worked on custom roms, at least not on EMUI8.0 devices.
The best way would be to try make it work without Huawei's proprietary blobs,i didn't managed to do it (but i'm still on stock EMUI), but maybe you will.

I will try.
The best twrp recovery for our Mate is to start with 3.2.1.0 release at https://github.com/omnirom/android_bootable_recovery/commits/android-8.0 commits aac05c2f076894029764f9d7dff58f5c52f0673d

Never build with 8.1 source or we have twrp bootscreen or bootloop

No, it's for EMUI 8.
You'd need to build TWRP for Nougat for it to work, and even then decryption probably won't.

Disclaimer
This software comes wth no warranty,XDA staff ,myself or TeamWin stuff can't be hold responsible for any damage it may cause to your device.

Note: Currently Oreo 8.1 custom roms are not supported,only stock EMUI 8.x .

Download and Installation

* Download twrp recovery
* Start your device in fastboot mode
* Install the recovery using the following command:

Code:
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk [filename].img --> ex: fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk twrp_mate9_0.1.img
* Restart with this command:
Code:
fastboot reboot
* As soon as you execute the restart command,remove the USB cable and keep pressing Volume UP,so the device will boot to TWRP.This is to avoid that the device boot to OS,overwritting TWRP recovery.

Features

Internal storage decryption = working
MTP and OTG connection = working
Backup&Restore = working

Note: There are no sources for this yet,because is based on the work of @zxz0O0 ,from Honor 9.

I tried but it seems to me impossible content that we can not unlocked the bootloader I have not tried with the software like flashboot or the like but I think it will do the same.

so can we really put it magré that the bootloader is locked?
