Hmmm...really? I had the full version for the longest even before my evo3D days and I always thought you had to pay for the touch version. As matter of fact, I tried to grab the touch version only a few days ago through the paid app but they still asked me to donate for the touch version. I must been missing something.

Need some help. I've been running the AOKP ROM and prior to flashing the ROM is made a back up of the original with CWM. I am having to many issues with the ROM and want to go back to the original ROM. When I went to restore the ROM, I'm getting a error in restore. Is there a special process to restore the original ROM?

There isn't a special process to restore a nand. Is it failing when you select the backup you're trying to restore? I've had that happen to me before and I had to just discard that backup. There isn't a way to fix it as far as I understand. It's just a bad backup. Unless someone else with more knowledge can chime in.

So I guess these zip files r new to me. I've been installing CWM as tar files in the past using Odin. How would one install the zip? Just as you do a ROM?

yes, flash in recovery and reboot recovery to change to the new one...

Ok sorry, havent used ROM manager in a long time...now you have to pay to flash the touch recovery, full version just removes ads

Which sucks because before the full version used to let you flash touch recovery and ads=gone

It is easier to just flash twrp and try it. It is easy to go back and forth. The only catch is that backups aren't compatible between them.

It is more of a preference from what I can tell. Many people seem to like twrp (including myself) though.

I wasn't trying to be rude. Twrp is just a custom recovery, not a rom. You can switch between cwm and twrp very easily (a simple flash thanks to naddict) without effecting your rom at all.

I am gonna try it though and if I like it I might keep it but if I don't I'll go back to CWM as long as its flash able hey what the hell ....right?
