I would stick with 2.6.3.1. Version 2.7 has problems with the S3 anyway. When I download the latest TWRP from goomanager it's still says 2.6.3.1 any reason why?

Version 2.7 zip is on the OP btw.
The current odinable tar versions are located here:

Also, if the official zip or tar of v2.7.0.0 doesn't work for you (they didn't for me but did for some others), the multi-boot version (there's a thread here somewhere about booting multiple versions of Android) worked for me and a few other people, although again not for still others.Oh OK. Thanks dude.
Cool. Will my backup still be there even though I update to 2.7?Also, if the official zip or tar of v2.7.0.0 doesn't work for you (they didn't for me but did for some others), the multi-boot version (there's a thread here somewhere about booting multiple versions of Android) worked for me and a few other people, although again not for still others.
The same was the case for me with v2.6.3.1.
I don't know if anyone has tested TWRP with the TouchWiz 4.4.2 update, FYI, if you decide to upgrade.
Sent from my Sprint Samsung Galaxy SIII with Wicked X v6.5, Ktoonsez' latest kernel and the latest Philz Touch Recovery.
Yes but I would still keep the 2.6.3.1 flashable zip on SD in case you can't restore with 2.7. At least you can flash back to the older recovery if you need to.Cool. Will my backup still be there even though I update to 2.7?
OK. Restored fine for me though when i was using it but I'll keep it on deck.Yes but I would still keep the 2.6.3.1 flashable zip on SD in case you can't restore with 2.7. At least you can flash back to the older recovery if you need to.
Philz doesn't work with any automatic updaters, as far as I know. You have to know where your update zip is saved and manually flash it. No big deal to me. I actually prefer it that way. In my opinion, Philz is the best, under the hood.Glad these are here. I heard so many good things about philz recovery but it didn't work with cm updater.

Once your update download is finished, you can boot into recovery and flash the zip file found in the folder /sdcard/cmupdater and flash it in PhilZ.Glad these are here. I heard so many good things about philz recovery but it didn't work with cm updater.

I don't believe Xposed is device specific. JUST BE SURE TO MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR ROM BEFORE INSTALLING. That way if anything should go wrong, you can restore your last working setup. Is it safe to use and install xposed on sprint galaxy s3 sch-s960l?? If is where could i fine modules for my phone? Cant find any!
i found this info on Amazon about the SCH-S960LI don't believe Xposed is device specific.
Also, remember that your device is not a Sprint S3 (different model #), so what works on our phones, may not work on yours.
I dont havr a custom recovery tho, anyway to backup rom without it? Im working on getting one for my model for a couple of days. Found some solutions possibly but not sure if it is completely compatible with my phonei found this info on Amazon about the SCH-S960L

A SCH-S960L user reported Xposed modules working on his device here:

I found thay info in under 5 minutes. Remember, search is your best bet for questions that have probably already been asked before.
The Xposed Installer can be downloaded here:
