You could use the Wugfresh Nexus Root Toolkit to flash back to stock and install a bootloader that doesn't have force encrypt enabled.New to the nexus line, how do I do that? I'm not rooted, that's what I'm trying to do.

The latest I see on there is 2.8.6.0. Poked around quite a bit and haven't found .7.0 What am I missing? Same with the TWRP app.
Good question. I don't know the answer. Maybe we caught the OP between update to XDA and the download links not yet updated???The latest I see on there is 2.8.6.0. Poked around quite a bit and haven't found .7.0 What am I missing? Same with the TWRP app.

I think they might need a kernel patch to fix those errors.100% failure rate on the build server for us with the last attempt being three days ago - https://jenkins.twrp.me/
Unless they get around to us, we're not seeing a copy in the short term by the looks.

Edit, I have 2.8.7.1 on my n5 and 2.8.7.0 on my i727. The n9 with it's 64 bit processor is probable taking more time to develop.

@Dees_Troy, any update on TWRP 2.8.7.0 / 2.8.7.1 for N9?
2.8.7.0 is up on TWRP website for flounder.I think they might need a kernel patch to fix those errors.
thanks man!2.8.7.0 is up on TWRP website for flounder.
Are you on the latest, official version of TWRP? If not, I would give that a try.Any ideas why I get this message on backup?
E: unable to locate '/and-sec' partition for backup calculations
That would be 2.8.7.0? That's what I'm on currentlyAre you on the latest, official version of TWRP? If not, I would give that a try.
Well, I'm grasping for straws here, but you might want to try flashing back to 2.8.6.0. While I've had no trouble with the latest, some users have reported problems restoring backups.That would be 2.8.7.0? That's what I'm on currently

twrp does not support M yetI just flashed Nexus 9 M preview MPA44G and am trying to root but TWRP asks for a password. I've tried default_password and also the same with quotation marks to no avail. What am I doing wrong? I set my screen lock to password and tried that password as well. No luck. Anyone know what's up?
https://twrp.me/faq/ADBSideload.htmlThanks. Could you send me a link to a sideload tutorial?
