YesSo if we have a kernel, say ElementalX, could we just flash SuperSU, since the kernel supports root?

Err... This is the Nexus 9 forum. Not the Galaxy S5 forum...Not working on Sm-g900f
Just use Fastboot. 3 Commands and you are done, and 2 of them are to reboot the device, it's not that hard and most of all safer since most apps seem to be not optimized for 5.0
The TWRP app nor Flashify work for installing TWRP on the Nexus 9. Use Fastboot. It is the safest way anyhow. The app linked in op crashes whenever I do anything related to installing recovery. Will try flashify.

Flashify ended up working...does it not install properly or something? seems ok so farThe TWRP app nor Flashify work for installing TWRP on the Nexus 9. Use Fastboot. It is the safest way anyhow.
Do you have a pin lock screen? Use that as your password. If you have a pattern lock screen I think you're sol.It keeps asking for a password! default_password does not work

I'm quite certain that's related to the theme. I'll look into that as well.aromafm doesn't seem to be supported
Its unlikely you can flash twrp through stock recovery as it has SIG checksStll looking for a flashable ZIP
Thx
