Hey DJ, did you know that HennyMcc has a version of TWRP 3.0.0 that can perform a backup, but doesn't recognize my microSD card. Maybe the two of you can work together to get TWRP working properly.

DJ, there is still a problem with the Recovery. It won't recognize my 64 GB microSD card. I just checked it and it is formatted NTFS.

ntfs isnt good for using on a mobile sd card, should be using exfat really

and linux support for ntfs isnt brilliant either - but easy enough to add ntfs support so ill update recovery later with that

Installed recovery on sm-g800f, seems fine, but first try of a backup stuck at 29%, had to reboot manually. Second try of a backup, phone rebooted itself while backup (was at about 20%).
Installed old 2.8.1.0 and next backup was ok as every time...

My microSD card is now recognized and I can finally get rid of the back up eating 3.5 GB of space.

Worked perfectly for me. It takes a little bit to generate the MD5 code, but everything backed up fine.

I think, it freezes / reboots, if you use compression. Did 2 backups without compression, both ended normaly, then again one with compression, stopped at about 15-20%...

when I put the recovery mode can't see anything
how can I fix it? the computer don't recognize my phone so i can't take another recovery.
And when I restart the phone it open with the recovery, i only can go to the download mode but the pc don't recognize it.

yeah that might be the problem for me as well. using compression, i get stuck at around 3%...

Freezes at 22% with 5.1.1 no way tested all options.
