None of us own a 701, with there being so many issue, its going to be hard for us to do anything...

Even with testers, its going to be a nightmare, I will leave this up to @sbdags

Thx Josh
Hi,

I like having TWRP on my 701, but until it gets a bit more polished (I'm having some issues, but still, great job so far though!), I'd like to put PhilZ on temporarily. I know there is one for my 701, but I can't seem to find it again.

Does anyone know where to get it? Preferably in Zip format, if possible.

Thank You!

He's looked into it before and suggested we mount / unmount system before wiping cache or dalvik. AFAIK this helped for some but for me it still fails. The only way I can work around this issue is by changing /cache to ext3 then format. Reboot back into recovery and format /cache as ext4 (which still takes a loooong time but finishes without errors).

It's kind of a weird issue, going back to 100% stock and starting over didn't help for me either.
CWM recovery doesn't have te problem, but we want TWRP with touch ofcourse which we got after some magic skills :good::)
I have had the same problems to the point of not being able to boot the system, I was finally able to flash cwm with fastboot and power down for a few minutes and boot back to the bootloader then cwm recovery fixed the mount points and I rebooted the system. Unfortunately that's been a few weeks ago and I have stayed with cwm since. That said I prefer TWRP.

Getting a TF701T beside my TF300T and TF700T, I realized this is the only TWRP we have to the 701. Too bad that it has no f2fs as noted in #36. It's weird that f2fs get's reformatted by the bootloader, none of the previous Transformers did do such a thing.
Does KANG TWRP support full encrypted devices? Official TWRP does and requests the password at startup.

What an unexpected surprise!

I took the bait and flashed it. So far so good. Booted into recovery fine and successfully completed a backup.

Unfortunately, I still am having the same problems mounting partitions as the prior version.

Touch functions work flawlessly.

Looks like a solid piece of work. Many thanks!

You'll have to give me more than that before I flash it....
What's your port and why should we trust you?
I'm tired of errors when installing the firmware KatKiss. Used kitchen android AIK + rootexplorer. Thanks for the tools for android. Porting is the replacement of some files and the correction of text. Unfortunately in the source code I do not really understand. Therefore I will be happy if someone for them take up. I'm on the forum 4PDA. Sorry for my english.

Port KANG TWRP v3.1.0-0

Support full f2fs files system ;)

p.s.
The first time after installing TWRP and its settings, you must restart the tablet and only then enter the recovery and flash KatKiss.
To update KatKiss not need to format the partition and wipe. Just flash the rom, gapps and supersu.
Be sure to include the item in the TWRP settings "Use rm -rf instead of formatting". If you suddenly receive a status error 7, again flash ROM without formatting the partitions.
v6 - This is the latest version of TWRP.

Thanks a bunch for your effort. I only don't understand what you try to do. What most TF701 users need, is a stable TWRP that does a flash of ROM right the first time, without errors and reboots.
Does your version of TWRP resolve that?

Thanx for this work, i dont use and need f2fs so i dont test it... Everything works fine for me. Update to 3.1.0.0 v3 per zip Form 2.8.7.0. After reboot i formated all include internal storage... Then add katkiss v20 gapps and supersu ... Start install and reboot.

Great also Dock SD now useabel ,in v 2.8.7.0 it was not there.

---------- Post added at 03:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:57 PM ----------

In 3.1.0.0 v3 Akku shows correct state, no Format error ,no Mount error... But in next update let twrp APP question disabeled ,iam sure they dont Ewer will push a update for tf701t users... So we dont need it.

No i do not but in the sdcard folder TWRP folder .twrps file the options are saved. This file has to be manipulated in twrp install , by zip install it could be done with scripts ...but there must be a Option for build in the IMG when you compile.

I dont mean how to remove the apk , it should be in the package. Just say no and it is not installed. I only say the silly questions twrp makes on first Boot in should be disabeled and for people that are not in the correct bootloader the blob file from sbdags should also be in the zip.

Unfortunately I can not turn off these options because not ported from the source code. Implementation firmware protection from other tablets is very simple, but it is necessary to timduru used it. Sorry, very badly I understand English. All through a translator.

As a result of testing, even with the option turned on, sometimes a status error occurs. 7. It helps to re-flash without formatting the partitions. Alas, most likely the problem is in the kernel or bootloader.
You can flash firmware full ota http://droidbasement.com/asus/tf701t/stock/
The bootloader version and twrp do not change.
To fully support f2fs, you need to change the kernel
https://github.com/zombi-x/android_kernel_asus_tf701t?files=1 as described here https://github.com/googyanas/Googy-Max4-Kernel/commit/a014857b33d3304dc0adae4e40ce2759546e294b or https://github.com/CrazyGamerGR/Cra...mmit/a014857b33d3304dc0adae4e40ce2759546e294b or https://github.com/CyanogenMod/andr...mmit/02322945e8396b15e20ca8cf171be5bbaed460cc
