Yeah same thing when I first did it. Your adb cmd prompt isn't in the right directory. Can't put it in system32 for some reason. You need. To right click on adb folder and. Load cmd prompt. Or do the 's commands to navigate to it

You're a life saver. I wrote the three codes. Everything went through fine and I rebooted system. Am I done?

If you flashed the image. Then rebooted to that image and loaded into Twrp. Then flashed the root zip (hopefully made a backup) then yeah should be done

Where's the root zip? And how do you load the image in TWRP?

All in the first post. The root zip i.e. the link for the chainfire supersu and to first boot to Twrp it's the last command on op for fastboot boot filename you just flashed

Can I just download the supersu from chrome instead of having to flash it on? If not what command would I type into cmd?

Honestly not 100% sure. The file you download is a zip you need to flash (install) via Twrp. You can click that link in chrome yes. Save it to your sdcard and then in Twrp flash from either

The command is in the first post. Its the one after the one you typed to flash the recovery img. Its fastboot boot Twrp.h901.....img and that makes it reboot to that img which is twrp

Here pics from op

K got to sleep hopefully that gets ya. If not gets ya in morning

I got this to work and rooted, but lost one app int he process, has that happened to anyone else? It was the app in the second screen. Therew was settings clock and calendar and one other that let you draw on things, its gone and its not in LG apps section to be installed.

What's it called? I'm almost positive its not there. Everything is installed already
I think its called Capture+ but I don't see it in my Update center. I wonder if this is some security thing that's lost when you root, but I haven't heard anyone else who rooted mention it. Maybe they can check and get you the apk if they still have it

Capture+ shows up when you install quickmemo+

(I've read)

Sent from my pretty nifty brand new LG V10
Correct.

You install the quickmemo+ and that adds the capture+ back to the options for nav bar and settings

Buckeye you get it working?

Sorry lost me. A bit confusing how you wrote it

You do tyre fastboot to flash and it says it flashed or didn't flash?

If flashed did you then do the fastboot
Boot command that is in op and I also show above on a screenshot?

Did you install all of the required drivers? Adb, fastboot, and LG G4?

If you follow the first post there are links to install the drivers, easiest way is to install adb and fastboot as system wide so you don't have to worry about which directory you are on while using your computer.

Once you install the drivers, open up terminal on the computer and type adb devices. It should respond with lg v10, followed by some numbers. Also, once you plug the USB cable into computer and your phone, there will be a message on your phone, just allow it to communicate with the computer.

Sorry for confusion .

First thing first i got the bootloader unlock. I also install the twrp, when twrp installed it said it got installed. When i press volume + down key, I cant see TWRP install. Now when i try to reconnect my phone using adb. it says the "Device not Found" but i have my usb cable attach to the phone

@Warrior1975: List of adb device coming up blank and Yes i do have LG Mobile Universe. Also it doesnt ask me to communicate with my phone but i can select what kind of usb debuggin i want for my phone like PTP , charging , MTP. Now the funny thing is my phone is displaying the bootloader unlock

When you plug your phone into computer, where is it saying device not found? You are still in bootloader unlock mode? Did you do anything after unlocking bootloader?

No worries, we are here to help bro.
