Im pretty sure i followed the directions exactly, maybe ill try again. As for getting into twrp, the only way i have found to get into it is with adb or with an app. I tried just using the buttons but it just asked me to do a factory reset. How do we get to it with just the buttons?

@KAsp3rd Hey brotha, know you got tons going on so no rush, but when you have a chance, please look into the device name. TWRP thinks it should be h901 (which would make sense) but our build.props actually are referring to themselves as pplus. IDK if thats something you can fix up or if I'm in the wrong area. Thanks bro. Hope all is well, or at least getting there.

@KAsp3rd - I'm just curious if you are planning on submitting your version to @Dees_Troy / TWRP for official inclusion on their list.
IIRC the only way a device will get an official status is if the device is owned by own of those in the TWRP dev team.

This is something I can change, I just used the codename instead of the model when I created the device tree. I'll push a small incremental update when I get some time

No I'm not even sure how. I ran the file it said in the thread. But at no point did I enter anything except "Y" and hit enter.

The one in the link for OP. "If youre having problems with adb or fastboot"

That is for installing the needed adb and fastboot drivers. After you have completed this you need to then follow the directions in the OP to install recovery.

I know there were questions referring to encryption I am working on getting encryption together for our model when I get some time. it is supported just have to find the right files needed for keymaster

No problem. I thought I read something on the TWRP G+ Community that you can submit your mods to the official list.

Hope all's okay with the family.

See the 2 posts immediately before yours.. ;)
That is for a quick reboot option. I am talking about a way to turn off the phone, then hold volume up or something while powering on to get into twrp. I tried holding volume down and power then releasing power but it just asks for a factory reset. It never takes me to twrp

Another choice with additional options might be Power Toggles, also on the Play Store.

Power Toggles has a soft-power button in the notification area which will give you options to power down or reboot or reboot into bootloader.

The other app mentioned I don't know - I have not used it.

Man im trying to get into twrp when the phone is off. No computer or app
Hold volume down and power and LG splash screen will appear...wait till it goes off and on again, release power for a quik moment and press power again...it will take you to a factory reset, hit yes and next screen yes and that will boot into twrp;)

Edit: And it will say it will erase data and factory reset, but it wont...it will just boot you into twrp!

Working on another minor update as I don't usually encrypt my device I actually need input from users. How much encryption do you use? Full device, internal memory, external sdcard? (I need to encrypt my device the same as y'all to test)

Also the time/date will most likely never be correct I can get the time right but the date will always be in 1970 (don't think you want that). A couple things I will try with that to get it as close as I can but I cannot promise anything.

I have a couple backups on my device that I have only restored the boot.img from so I'll do a full backup and restore to check that issue as well.

I don't encrypt, so can't speak on that, and I usually rename my backups anyway, so the time is no big deal for me... Jim

I know it's on the first page (or at least I think I know, which is why I'm asking) but I just wanna make sure I'm right before jumping into unlocking my T-Mobile bootloader. If mine is locked, the steps to unlock it are in the OP, right? the part where it says "if bootloader is locked:" then I have to enter those commands? Did I get everything right here?
