Yea I have stayed on kk cuz xposed is a necessity on this tab for me (love xhalo) but using flashfire actually worked for you? Is there a certain method to use cuz I gotta try now lol I have 2 kdz files, kk & the next 5.0.2 update but I'm not even sure if there's been any other updates past that, I just got this thing outta a 6 month bootloop I finally figured out how to get out of. I tell ya having any app in dual window is just awesome and got me dying to hit the low effort root on one of my g4's.. Haven't used adb before so gotta learn sometime

It was super simple to flash xposed with flashfire. Just found latest v78 sdk21 arm xposed framework. Used flashfires flash update/zip function and flashed it while sweating and holding my breath. Took a little over 5 to 10 minuyes with a black screen for most of the process but after it finished it said installed successful. Then I installed xposed installer apk and checked and framework was active. I rebooted, enabled a few modules, rebooted again and boom. Workin like a charm. Even G3 tweaksbox works well. Only option thats goofy is quick settings coloring. Can't use that but it's all good.

Thanks man, I do believe next time I'm at my dad's house where there's a good pc loaded ready with those kdz's and the flash tool , I'll drop lollipop back on it and start experimenting...surprisingly haven't tried g3 tweakbox so , yep lol

Huh?! Did you have supersu properly installed? Did you try any root apps before you installed xposed? Also, have you rebooted at all? You need to reboot after flashing xposed.

The uninstaller fixed it, but basically by looking at and trying to interpret logs, after flashing it, its like my app data partition became invisible, its weird , I've used Xposed experimenting on the most incompatible roms with various droid versions with modules that were not supposed to work lol I've seen some funky bugs but this was new. Only a few basic root apps that weren't setup and had no services that would clash with the framework, and yes I rebooted after the flash cycle. The version was recently bumped up to 79, which you used 78 and I'm suspicious so I'm looking everywhere for 78 but every single download link has been deleted or updsted, sooo its commin of course .....ya mind sharing a file with a bruthah? Lol if its not a hassle that is.....I got an old 68 I know worked before on other devices but it might ne sdk22

Its cool, I was gonna try it till I saw it was sdk22 which if I'm not mistaken is for 5.1 and in on 5.0.2. So I still haven't found a v78 sdk21 yet, but I'm curious if it has something to do with selinux Cruz the framework is installed and modules i had already installed and check the activated box work just fine, I just can't install any appsand the logs I've scrambled through say something about permissions sooo yea lol..could be the locked bootie too but I'm about to flash it again and check the selinux

My selinux is set as enforcing with no issues. Not sure why the other poster would've offered up sdk22. Here's v78 for sdk21. https://mega.nz/#!9ck3mKLb!0wPvrafGVYYzrSy0tOa5QS20nCenC5v5FmfCDGa6b3U

I sure do appreciate your help man, wah wah wah...again no dice, wtf ? Lol that blows, ive tried everything so at this point my only option is to drop kk back in and keep hoping someone will bump a recovery or unlock the vk700 boot loader ...that'll be a long shot much less any custom roms which is a wasted wet dream as far as anyone could hope lol thanks again dude ....I guess I should be grateful all the cool toys work on kk huh , now my next adventure :flashing a rooted system img. on one of my g4s as my first adb experience...oooooo yea

That's strange that it works seamlessly on my V700 and not your Vk700 since they are literally the same device with the addition of lte on yours. Doesn't make sense to me.

Yep that is it for sure, just like the twrp won't work either. I know the locked boot loader ruins the recovery party so I'm sure that it is screwing my xposed party too. I know also Verizon is a real **** about bootloaders and after my g4 experience I believe I'll be moving elsewhere soon ..but it's because adding LTE means they want it locked down to their service and they ain't gonna make it easy to switch carriers...I only use it on WiFi if I could if rip that radio out lol jk

Well you can't unlock any LG bootloaders except for 2 G4 variants. After I uograde from my G3 to a new phone in May next year I am no longer going to EVER own an LG product! The tablets ok but there's no means of development and my G3 is cool because there's alot of development but since it's all through bump which works around the bootloader and does not unlock it it seems to be buggy running custom roms and kernels. LG wont get my money ever again. I'm either going motorola or Nexus next time around.

Amen brother lol this was my first and last experience with LG products, hell I have 2 g4's and if gladly trade one practically mint condition for a used g3, a nexus 5 maybe even a go..anything just about that's at least close to the hardware specs no lower than half with a ton of development....some luck Cruz I've had none with these LG devices. ...the best performing ,most durable phone I've had was a Motorola droid maxx xt1080 which I never got a chance to root before I upgraded but it got shattered which in considering paying to have the glass replaced ..that phone was insanely powerful and I never realized it till I switched...might have to get it out the drawer and fork a bill for some glass..I can only dream of what I could make that thing do with root now I know what I'm doing lol

Someone should write in #1 that this twrp only works with kitkat. I got rooted Lollipop 5.0.2 (kingsroot and then LINK )

Luckily nothing bad happened neither, but also nothing good happend. For lazy guys like me, who only read #1 someone should write it in big red letters "works only with kitkat 4.4.2" or sth like that.

Is there a way to unflash that twrp.img which I flashed with flashfire? I mean as far as I can see there is no difference, but I feel uncomfortable with the stuff I flashed inside.
