thank you sir, ill will try it tonight!
...also ive been using n3bula for awhile with a locked boot, any recommendations on a rom? ive seen people using alliance and trent (been out of the loop thinking nothing was going to change, pretty excited again haha)
I'm still trying to figure things out myself on alliance atm, I'll say this though. If you go with Trent you'll need to reroot (same method I mentioned works) I had supersu installed after running the root script but it wasnt rooted when i checked it. 2nd time, supersu was gone so i downloaded it from the playstore and root check confirmed a rooted device.

I've been using DN3 and love it!

I heard there were GPS issues with that one, does that seem to be the case for you?

Hey wolf

-so open up the alliance rom /system folder and the dn3 rom /system folder
- delete the build.prop, CSCVersion.txt, kern_sec_info, lkm_sec_info, and the SW_Configuration.xml files from DN3
-replace those files with the ones from the alliance rom /system rom folder
-boot into safestrap
-wipe cache dalvik cache
- flash the DN3 zip file with the newly replaced files in it
-enjoy
On a side note you will lose root and safestrap after installing the DN3 rom, but just reroot with the towelroot methods, update chainfire supersu from google play, open super user app and update binaries, and then reinstall safestrap and your done

I didn't flash a rom, just spen sounds via aroma installer. I may have to restore my backup but was hoping not to. Thanks for the info.

I had been waiting for this. I'm running Alliance build 30 with no problems. I had a few problems getting it installed and at one point had to go back to stock and had a hard time finding the ND7 file to use with Odin So I'm going to post a download link for it if any else needs it. I605VRUFND7_I605VZWFND7_I605VRUFND7_HOME.tar.md5 :D
Thanks for this man, this has been in the back of my mind should something happen.

Not sure if this is the best place but...

Would anyone be interested in porting/modding LOKI for the Note2? To my understanding, it works in a similar fashion to SafeStrap in that it goes around the bootloader to give pseudo unlocked features, but LOKI will support custom kernels as well, allowing users to use AOSP, and other roms not supported by the stock kernel. Any takers?

I myself would be willing to play with it, though I'm not sure how much time I can designate to it (too many other projects all ready) and I'll probably only have this phone for another ~2 months anyway.

I Odin update stock to 4.4.2, ghettoroot, superuser update, install safestrap, and installed alliance. So far everything up and running, no problems

I had this problem and updating supersu and opening it up and updating binaries solved the problem for me.
This may be stupid or I may be blind. Where do I do that? Swear there used to be an option but I don't see one. Maybe I'm thinking of superuser not supersu?

edit- I didn't update it from the play store smh. Safestrap now installed. Thank you for checking my brain!
