No need to remove the boot.img. Safestrap stops attempts to flash to the boot partition.

EDIT: If the ROM needs a different kernel, theres a good chance it wont work with Safestrap.

Do we need to download the "Safestrap" version of the rom? I'm guessing yes or there wouldn't be that choice. Just making sure. Then wipe Data, cache and Dalvik, system. and flash..?
Mostly when devs offer a "Safestrap" version of a ROM they are saying it runs on the stock kernel (and some may remove the boot.img)

After a couple failed attempts with removing the boot.img I have finally got nebula running. I actually used the original zip and just used the stock kernel instead of the ani (?) Kernel. I am absolutely loving this. Thank you all very much for this

If I use Safestrap to backup my stock rom slot, and then something happens where I am unable to boot my phone....then how do I restore? Am I able to use Odin to restore my phone using the safestrap backup? Or am I able to somehow write the stock verizon image to my phone, root, install safestrap, and then restore?

You can Odin back to stock 4.3.

Did u have to delete anything to get the room to work or can I just flash Tom like normal and use aroma to set it up? I think it was in the other thread that says to delete boot img and something else can't remember and if u do have to delete stuff what ones did u deleted

I didn't delete anything with n3bula I tried it with deleting the boot.img but it kept failing to flash. So I took a little risk and just flashed the untouched zip file. Just make sure you do a custom install and choose the stock kernel instead of the agni kernel. I haven't had one single issue with this rom. I love it

OK so I have used two different roms using this method. Sky note and nebula and the only bug or problem I am having is pba bowling challenge (game) will not work on either of them however it does work if I return to stock. I did some digging think I needed to delete original files or something not really sure because I did a full wipe before installing both roms but while digging I noticed that all of the apps that I had downloaded on stock n then re download them were coming up as -1 as in appname-1.apk has anyone else noticed this its almost like it is still reading my stock rom and the apps on it
