Yes, there is no sound on Slot 1 for the rom I installed, after rebooting.
Primary Rom Sound works fine.
After hearing all of your responses to the issue of sound not working, I went ahead and installed Safestrap and tried out the following ROMs:

Graviton
GPE 4.2.2

Both worked PERFECTLY, and both have sound - even after a reboot. Thanks everyone, especially Hashcode, for breathing life back into the ATT GS4!

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong. I installed the apk and opened the recovery with no issues. Stock is highlighted but when I choose a rom slot, it allows me to click on it and choose a data size but I don't see an activate button. The only thing highlighted is stock. I wanted to try to install a rom on my daughters s4 active. I did a nandroid of the stock rom that it came with. Do I install over stock or do I need to reinstall the recovery? Any help would be great.

Are you trying to install this on an S4 active? If so it says in the op to make sure its not an Active.

I've tried 7 different roms... from this thread and a few from i9505 forums. (Next time I will try other carriers). No issues. On the international roms, I had to select lte network and put in the proper apn settings to have lte. As long you flash on slot 1-4, Safestrap really puts u at ease when flashing roms. Whatever you do, don't mess with the stock rom slot...good luck :)

Was thinking of flashing that ROM instead of MDOB... would you recommend SHOstock over MDOB, and why?
Well kalmoa, I've tried both. And I like the way SHOstock runs. I also prefer the mods that SHOstock has over MDOB. But best way I find to pick a ROM is to try them all and see which one best suits your needs. Hope that helps :cowboy:

My problem isn't the MDL modules yet. I can't get into SS. After the SS splash screen and hitting menu to enter recovery, the screen stays black.

Are you doing this with the phone booted into stock? I would assume that the commands would have to be entered while the phone is booted into the stock ROM/Base ROM not the SS ROM.
How can I go back to the stock slot? And would I have to flash a stock ROM to stock slot? Or is there already a ROM in stock slot?

There is already your stock rom in the stock slot. Don't mess with the stock slot or you could brick.

Activate slot 1...(create 1, 2, or 3 gb partition) flash rom to slot 1, then flash the kernel module that hashcode created.

To go back to stock rom...select boot options, select stock slot, reboot..done.

Watch videos of how this works if you have too.

Well I'm asking because I'm trying to remove safestrap and the 3rd line in the command window is giving me a error.

Just to confirm I gave myself a nice brick:

Installed and ran the apk. Set up rom slot 1. Mis-tapped and turned off phone before installing kernel. Now I get the classic frozen splash screen and nothing else. Tried ODIN to install stock firmware, but I think I've partitioned and the ODIN install fails. There's no recovery, just goes into Downloading.

Just want to make sure before I head to the AT&T store and beg for mercy.

Please let us know if the above tip worked for you; Did you have to go to AT&T? What happened....:fingers-crossed:

Yeah, when I choose down home and power I get the option to press down to boot and up to go into DL. Pressing down takes me into the S4 splash screen where it stays.

Naturally I go into the AT&T store the day the iPhone 5S comes out and he said I was SOL. I'll just try a few ODIN tricks and hope for the best.

Take it to best buy. Inside, got to the Samsung Experience counter. They can flash it back to mf3 stock.

Sorry, us MF3 users do not have ODIN/Kies. As mentioned by @jd1639 in many of the threads and just recently: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=45762961&postcount=12

If you're on the mf3 firmware you are not going to be able to flash mdl. When the firmware is updated a qfuse is blown on the internal circuitry which will not allow it to down grade the firmware. You're just wasting your time. Take it to best buy.
Best Buy Samsung Kiosk is your best bet as they will flash your phone back to MF3 stock. Just mention Samsung Tech Support told you to get it sorted at the kiosk.

I'll have to go at a different time. The girl that was working there was completely baffled and said she couldn't do anything, to ship it out to Samsung. I went there hoping they would do just that.
Tell them they need to use Samsung Smart. You also have to be at the Samsung Experience counter.
