OK. I ran through a few tests with user
@mutantblack who is on MLG kernel + NB4 firmware using a brand new Safestrap 3.72 build.
CURRENT ISSUES:
- Safestrap now requires a busybox installation to work correctly in KK. It's included in Drakey's ROM, but for stock you need to grab "Busybox" from the Play Store and run the installer. Not so much an issue as something that must be known.
- The Safestrap recovery installation ("Install Recovery" button in the APK) has some sort of issue where the files are not always installed correctly the first time. It's easy to see this when it happens, as there is no splashscreen showing up while rebooting. But a 2nd or 3rd install fixes it.
THE GOOD NEWS:
- Flashing
@drakeymcmb's KNOXRAID V5.6 .zip to the stock partition (once Safestrap was installed) works great and I think many many users are looking for that functionality at the very least.
THE OK NEWS:
We also created / flashed to a rom-slot and while it does flash, it ends up bootlooping from what looks to be a mount setup issue on the rom-slots themselves. So I'll have to put out another update later for that.
QUESTION: Should I go ahead and do an initial beta release for KK users knowing all of the above?
