hello all
i cant seem to find what i want to do either im tired or just cant find it.. so i need to remove SS off my att note 3 so how can i do that, and can i just take it off without wiping the the phone..

Just open ss, uninstall recovery, then uninstall ss from application settings...

If your wanting to remove the slots then do that from safestrap app first then remove safestrap app

Not if you installed a custom rom and you need to remove root if you're want true stock

Just flashed Knox raid 5.6 using the new safe strap and now any app I try to download thru the play store says "Unknown error -24". I've re flashed and re wiped to no success. Please help..

I got that error too. Did you get this resolved? If so how. Thx

Update: I figured out that recovery is failing to wipe the data/data directory leaving ghost folders of the apps from Knoxraid thus triggering error. I wonder if I need to reinstall recovery.

I upgraded my phone from JB to KK. I keep installing SafeStrap but can't boot to it. When I go to SS, it says Status: Installed and Safe State: Not Active. Any suggestions for a fix?

Okay, I've done some searching so I figured I'd just ask...

I just got a replacement phone from AT&T, and it has 4.4.2 NC2 on it... can I still install Safestrap and install custom ROMs? I've been searching the interwebs for information about rooting 4.4.2 but no luck. However, can I still install Safestrap on it?

Edit:: I just read the requirement for Safestrap is root.... if this is the case, I'm guessing I can't use this for mine at this point?

Unfortunately, there is no root method for KK as of yet. Not much you can do until a root method comes out. Sorry man.

Best bet would be to sell it on eBay and buy one with JB on it, lots of peeps are doing this.

Can't Backup

I have an unusual problem: I can't make a backup. This started about a week ago. Everything seems to work completely normally, but my ability to back-up my ROM just fails every time.

When it first started, it would look like it was going to make a backup, but then the screen would go blank/black for a few seconds, then it would come back on, say that the backup was complete, but there would be nothing in the folder. Now it just straight out says backup failed (failed in red).

Now before you all start telling me to ODIN back to stock, I already did that and it didn't work. And I can still flash ROMs, I just can't save anything.

Any advice? Oh, and just to be clear, I'm on JB, using SS 3.71, FireNote v8 ROM.

Did you try checking the box for compression in safestrap? Usually it's a Kk issue, but worth a shot in your case.

Hi,

Im having the same issue with my install of safestrap. A while back I used drakeymcbs < ? method of installing KK. I ran Dynamic ROM 1 for quite some time. Today I decided to switch ROMs and when trying to backup the stock slot I was faced with an IO error. Also wiping data does not seem to work. I'll post the log as soon as I can. What seems to be the culprit is the skype folder, it gets hung up on deleting its contents then fails. Please help ASAP.

@Hashcode >When you have time, please come over to the s5/s5Active on At&t. We will take care of you promise. !!!!! We just got root from Geohot. SafeStrap would be nice. Geo did ask "Whats next" maybe yall could find a way to get passed the bootloader some how.

Would prefer something clean like CyanogenMod or OmniROM, but none seems to support AT&T variant of Note 3. Any other suggestions?
