I have no idea of a fix for the official, seeing as root was just released, it shouldn't be long for a Kk fix, maybe best buy like mentioned before can program it for you.

Stickied with my post-it-note 3

sorry i don't understand, will this method erase safestrap and let me start all over?
That's a thread when you cannot install any rom. If you installed on your system partition with safestrap then you might have to use that thread. Have you tried to do a reset from stock Recovery

A quick bug report on SafeStrap v3.72

Following geohot exploit and root for AT&T KitKat NC2 ROM, I installed Superuser, Busybox, then SafeStrap v3.72. All seems to work fine. However, after backing up my stock ROM, tried Dynamic Kat ROM from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2709701. Installed it to the Stock slot as required, did the "factory reset" etc. Booted and worked fine. Installed SafeStrap v3.72 app under it as well, reported correctly that SafeStrap is installed and active. However, under Dynamic Kat the "Reboot to Recovery" button did not work. A toast message appeared that SafeStrap got root, but nothing happens, no reboot.

After a manual reboot to recovery, tried to backup Dynamic Kat ROM. 3 attempts to back it up, both to the phone memory and to the SD card failed. The message was just "failed", no details. There was enough memory, both internal and SD card have over 20 GB free space each.

Following this I restored my stock ROM from the backup. Luckily that worked fine. Also uninstalled Dynamic Kat ROM. I'm not sure if the bug is in SafeStrap or Dynamic Kat ROM, will post the same report to Dynamic forum.

Maybe you needed to install busybox , maybe Dynamic Kat ROM busy box did not install?

OK, maybe re-installing busybox would help for this problem. Did not check this. My problems with backing up Dynamic Kat under SafeStrap is known to the authors, and the work-around is to enable backup compression (someone replied to my post in Dynamic Kat forum with this info). Thanks!

I was backing up using compression without a problem. Today, I started to get the failed notice, even thought I'm enabling compression. I can do a backup of just data and cache but a backup of system only, fails.

There is plenty of room on the MicroSD card and I changed cards to check if the card was somehow corrupted.

The rom install that I'm currently running is a restore of a backup when TWRP was working. I wonder if a complete restore of a TWRP backup changes something?
