I saw that however, it didn't mention what happens to cwm. I didn't want both in here and mess up the phone.you can use goomanager from the play store to install twrp, the instructions are on the first post. yes it replaces cwm

Flashed the update using goo manager and kept getting a could not mount usb-otg message and got status 7 errors and couldn't flash anything. I was on 4.1.2 and upgraded the twrp recovery to 2.3.2.0 and went from never having issues on twrp to not being able to flash anything. Anyone have a clue what the deal might be/have a solution to the issue? No, it works with all ROMs, but most of the changes are specifically to deal with the 4.2 changes.
i will flash it in a bit..will report back, btw dee did say that for 4.1.2 everything should be in data/media and for 4.2 it should be in data/media/0Flashed the update using goo manager and kept getting a could not mount usb-otg message and got status 7 errors and couldn't flash anything. the red exclamation is stock recovery...delete this file "/system/recovery-from-boot.p" and then flash the recovery againi'm on 4.2 and had a stock recovery, no root. i used Goomanager and it said that it was successful in installing the newest twrp, but then when trying to enter the recovery through the bootloader, it gave me the android dude with the red-exclamation triangle.
i flashed the update zip that somebody uploaded, the OTA one for 4.2 over a stock image of 4.1.2 and in the process lost my recovery, which was twrp. any ideas? i also tried flashing the .img file through fastboot, but that doesn't work either. it says that it successfully flashes and then i erase cache and fastboot reboot, but when i go back into the bootloader and try to access the recovery, i get the aforementioned error.
Go figure man. After flashing cwm and flashing a rom I didn't really care for, restoring my backup, then reflashing 2.3.2.0 I still get that "unable to mount -"usb-otg"" notification but I can now flash everything I want with no issues. Who knows man? But it works now.i will flash it in a bit..will report back, btw dee did say that for 4.1.2 everything should be in data/media and for 4.2 it should be in data/media/0
I have both of them the otg cable and drive but it dosen't work with trwpUSB-OTG refers to plugging in external USB appliances. Perhaps TWRP has some degree of support for external USB drives? But if you don't have one in, it'll just let you know of that and then carry on.
+1 I can confirm that too. Running latest TWRP 2.3.2.0 and Franco's r313 kernel on 4.2 AOSP ROM.I have both of them the otg cable and drive but it dosen't work with trwp
I think that by 'handle' it meant that it won't form the new /0 folder with all your stuff after a 4.2 flashHmm, I updated to 2.3.2.0 and went to the recovery to make a backup of my stock 4.2. I had no nandroid from earlier.
It says that the new version should be able to handle the way 4.2 now used /data/media/0 as internal storage, but after I've done a backup now, the backup is in /data/media/TWRP and not in /data/media/0/TWRP

OK, but when the updated TWRP to 2.3.2.0 they should also changed the way TWRP creates the backup in the right place. I want to be able to plug the phone to the computer and from the internal storage copy the backup to the PC.I think that by 'handle' it meant that it won't form the new /0 folder with all your stuff after a 4.2 flash
+1 I can also also confirm that after upgrading I can no longer access my old backups made via an otg cable to a thumb drive.+1 I can confirm that too. Running latest TWRP 2.3.2.0 and Franco's r313 kernel on 4.2 AOSP ROM.
