@cybojenix Why TWRP has not been updated to v2.8.0.1 on the official site??? :(

BTW, can you please add GMT +5:30 Time Zone in the latest build of TWRP? Thanks..

I seem to be the only one affected by this: when I run a TWRP backup (2.7.1.0, flashed multiple times), sometimes one of the win files doesn't match its md5 file. I can verify this effect by copying the files to my computer, or running "cat *.md5 | md5sum -c -" directly from the same instance of the recovery. Seems to affect both data and system ext4.win files, and is independent of compression or not.
As this prevents a successful restore, I had to go "full cycle" for several times now. Quite annoying if you don't know the source of the problem... Lesson learned: Always go to command line after a backup, and run a check...
Is this a problem with my phone, or with 2.7.1.0 in general, or something else? I just found 2.7.2.0 (here, not in TWRP's official lists), but no 2.8.x.y :(

Um... as I'm going to sell my moto, what's the best way to get a stock recovery back on it? I don't want to flush a full 4.4.2 to get the OTA, but if that's the only way to restore the device to a consistent state... hm...

Have you got the stock firmware file??? Extract it and you'll find recovery.img file among the contents....
You just need to flash this recovery in fastboot... :good:

Is there a 4.4.4 fw file? I have the 4.4.2 one only.
Yes, of course I could flash the recovery.img from there, but that's the 4.4.2 one - would there be any difference? (I can see that the boot.img's are different, but I apparently have no means to reproduce the recovery creation myself, even more so without access to the OTA file)

AFAIK, the recoveries on both 4.4.2 and 4.4.4 are same.....

Dees did a build for me quickly, but it's too big, and I don't have the time to strip the kernel out.

If someone does a build, let me know and I'll add them as a contributor here

not working

This recovery is not working for me.

I've attempted it flash it 10 times with from windows (msfastboot flash recovery) and from linux (fastboot flash).

My phone is a Moto E XT1021. The bootloader is unlocked. It is running the latest factory firmware package 4.4.4 as in this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55637775&postcount=111

Attempting to flash shows the following message in the bootloader: "Mismatched partition size (recovery)" but I understand that is to be expected. Attempting to reboot into the recovery partition immediately after flashing by using the bootloader menu simply boots right into Android. Rebooting into the recovery after that brings me to the factory recovery.

'fastboot boot moto_e_twrp2.7.2.0_v2.2.img ' brings me to a never ending Motorola logo.

Can anyone offer any suggestions on how I can get this recovery (or any other community recovery) into my phone?

Select the volume down button in bootloader to move menu selection and volume up button to select...
Using this keys go to recovery from bootloader immediately after flashing and flash the supersu zip...
it will stick that way.... if you reboot without flashing supersu you'll need to flash recovery again...

Thanks very much. I was using power to select my menu choice when I should have been using the vol up button!

TWRP v2.8.1.0???

@cybojenix @Dees_Troy If I'm not wrong, officially supported devices are supposed to get automated builds of the latest version of TWRP???
Am I missing something??? Why condor is stuck at v2.7.1.0???
