I bricked my phone while flashing this!

Suggest a better alternative to flash via ADB // Suggest how to revert back phone to normal state after soft brick. ??

Not working on stock MIUI 10

I just unlocked my bootloader and tried to install this. but there is just a black screen with blueish stripes, it looks like the recovery is there, but I cant see nothing, how do I go back to stock recovery?

I just tried Batik and it worked! now, can you please recommend me some roms to install? I dont want to go back to stock nougat just to loose my root and starting over again
Oops! If you wanted to flash custom roms then you should've stayed on nougat, Xiaomi hasn't released oreo sources yet, there is no custom rom available for miui oreo firmware, maybe there is test version, new stable custom roms will only be available after sources are released. Currently all custom roms only work on miui nougat firmware. :silly::p.

You can downgrade if you want to.

Hey! Can I install Nougat thru recovery? Or should I use fastboot? Some people say that, because I have the beta rom, I must install the global nougat using fastboot and mi flasher...

Hello. I have a redmi 5a and flashed (some...) twrp version a while ago and installed a custom rom.
Unfortunatly I am not able to flash/ install Magisk (tried different versions...). It gives me error code 1 while flashing /installing and when I try to root via flashing/installing supersu it shows no errors but does not give me root access afterwards...
Is the problem something with the encryption? because I have to enter my pattern after trwp started...
Is -this- twrp a better and working one and how may i flash it after I already have a trwp on my device? uninstall / earase the old one first?
Are there pre-rooted custom roms for redmi 5a available?
Thanks for your help!

There is one thing I miss about the old times of CWM. When a part of my touchscreen is broken, I can't control TWRP in any other way, say for backup or data recovery. Or is there any way to control it using hardware buttons? Because I'd love to have that feature in. I guess it would be hell to program though.

EDIT: Nevermind, just learned there's a TWRP command line utility.

I'm having trouble with the twrp. It shows up like this.

Erased recovery partition and reflashed TWRP. Same issue persits.

Unable to format recovery partition using fastboot. Please advise how I can repair this.

There is no other issue and phone works normally. Currently on global stable.

same problem i also want to flash custom recovery but orange fox and twrp shows this issue

Hi I have installed latest TWRP 3.3.1-0-riva via bootloader and have flashed lazyflasher after that. My base rom is MIUI 11.0.2 Global stable (OCKMIXM).
I have unable to mount /data partition in TWRP. I do not have any security lock enabled on my rom. The error messages on the log are as follows:

Could not mount /data and unable to find crypto footer.
Failed to mount '/data' (Invalid argument)
Unable to recreate /data/media folder.
Updating partition details...
Failed to mount '/data' (Invalid argument)
...done
Unable to mount storage
Failed to mount '/data' (Invalid argument)
Full SElinux support is present/
Failed to mount /data/media/TWRP/.twrps
MTP enabled

kindly help sort out this issue. Thanks.

When will lineage os released for redmi 5A? Miui is sick

We need somebody (a developer) that can maintain device trees for our phone. Then only we can get official support for lineage os. What I don't understand is... Where are the Redmi 5A forums? Given the popularity of the phone - Xiomi claims it has already sold 1 million units of the phone - we must have had personal forums for the phone.
