Hi Dev, I m on latest MIUI 11 and i was able to flash the recovery , but unable to mount the storage and therefore not able to flash lazyflasher. and moreover after rebooting system the TWRP recovery is overwritten by stock recovery..is it something with MIUI 11?

It won't work in miui oreo. If u want to flash custom roms then first downgrade to miui nougat, then flash latest twrp unofficial by sunnyraj. If u only want to flash xiaomi.eu roms and want to fiddle with ur miui oreo, then flash ofox mod for oreo.
Try TWRP riva oreo treble by fenfren,searching it. It work for me on MIUI 11 oreo. U can do almost of all twrp function. Only mount cust have problem,doesn't matter,just flash cust.img taken from fastboot rom file,and it's done. Don't forget to flash dm-verity directly from twrp setting>advance and choose dm verity before boot to system ( MIUI ). If you flash from fastboot method,erase previously twrp,flash twrp fenfren,than command from fastboot to boot mentioned twrp.

We need somebody (a developer) that can maintain device trees for our phone. Then only we can get official support for lineage os. What I don't understand is... Where are the Redmi 5A forums? Given the popularity of the phone - Xiomi claims it has already sold 1 million units of the phone - we must have had personal forums for the phone.
