I am looking for kernel Techguy.😊
There is no permissive kernel for T860 so I hoped...
I have the latest WETA_Kernel_T860-8.0_UB7.zip the only problem is we had 2 previous versions that crashed my device and I had to reflash stock. I can't remember now if I deleted them I am 90 percent sure I did. The problem is it was such a hard crash I wouldn't feel right giving you a bad kernel because it kernel panics and it's hard to get into Odin mode. I'm trying to find a up to date kernel backup app and make a backup of my kernel so I know it works. Flashing is old and ex manager for some reason doesn't put it where I can find it I'm trying

I'm pretty sure that one works because I don't think I kept the others downloaded I would guess img 3 actually.

Side note if someone does use one of these you have to change selinux to permissive with either magisk module or the selinux app. You can also use setenforce0 command In terminal emulator.

I am gonna try both. Thanx for links and permissive tips.
I find magisk permissive module which works but setenforce0 command not work.

edit

kernel #3.img works out of box but Magisk should be reinstalled and re rooted.

Thank you Techguy...perhaps you have Shark recovery ? I had it on my sdcard before I formated it.😡

Nice I'm glad it was the right one. Setenforce 0 is the correct command I forgot the space lol. I use magisk permissive module or selinux app. I was sure I deleted the bad ones.

Is there any way to install TWRP on Android 11 and properly root (T865, NEE)? After TWRP install device keeps rebooting. Magisk rom patching doesn't work (error) , verity disabler didn't work

Edit.. I found my mistake.
If anyone has same problem, Format data. I did wipe data.. All good now..

Hi. I installed Twrp 3.4.0.16
I was in android 11 so just flashed in odin Twrp.
Then installed multidisabler
Then Magisk v23.

Tablet is rooted with magisk with Twrp, but can't install anything from playstore. It says no empty space..
Where did I go wrong?
If I check free space, there is plenty..
Magisk shows :ram disk :no, if this has anything to do (my rooted galaxy s10 lite shows yes there).
I factory reset, do it again, same result.
Thanks,

TWRP installation changed

Download folder.T860
Download folder.T865
WETA Kernel

* Unlock bootloader first
* Reboot recovery and reboot system now behave normally after flashing.
* No more patching in Magisk manager at all.
* Be aware, first clean boot, hangs on building cache, hard reboot after waiting about 3min and you'll boot past this
* If simply updating your existing TWRP, v9 upwards, you only need to flash the TWRP.img in recovery. No need to reflash kernel and Magisk.

Process from bone stock
1. Flash TWRP.tar in Odin
2. Reboot directly into TWRP
3. Format data, reboot recovery
4. Flash custom kernel (Android 10, this is optional)
5. Flash encryption disabler.
6. Unmount system, Flash Magisk 20.4
7. Reboot system

Process from existing TWRP
1. Flash TWRP.img to recovery
2. Reboot recovery
3. Flash Kernel zip
4. Unmount system and Flash Magisk zip
5. Reboot system

Hello there,

I have been trying to root my Tab S6 using the method described.. unfortunately with no luck. My tab goes into boot loop. Tried to do this 2-3 times. Had to re-flash stock using Odin.

Model: T865
Bootloader: Unlocked
Android 11 (Latest Stock Build for Germany)
TWRP version used: TWRP_T865_3.4.0-15.tar
WETA: WETA_Kernel_T865-6.1_TF1.zip
Encryption disabler: Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_11.02.2020.zip
Magisk: Version 21, since this is the latest version available as a zip

Possibly it is the Magisk version which is creating problems, since I have Android 11. If that's the case, can someone tell me how I can flash Magisk 23? Currently, Magisk 23 is only available as an apk.

Any other problems that you guys notice?

Thanks in advance for your kind help! Much appreciated.

rename magisk23.apk to magisk23.zip and install in twrp.

Hello I'm on 3CGUG1 android 11

I downloaded Weta kernel folder. Going to flash recovery TWRP_gts6lwifi_3.4.0-16-landscape.tar via odin. Then reboot to twrp. Which one of the 5 zips in the weta folder do I flash in twrp?

The latest ones:
WETA_Kernel_T860-7.0_TF2
WETA_Kernel_T860-7.0_TF2-permissive

?

Hello friends of rooted OS,

I have been trying to root my Tab S6 using the method described.. unfortunately with no luck.

Model: T860
Bootloader: Unlocked
Android 11 (Latest Stock Build CUK1)
TWRP version used: TWRP_gts6lwifi_3.4.0-16-portrait
WETA: WETA_Kernel_T860-6.1_TF1.zip tried also 7.0
Encryption disabler: Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_11.02.2020.zip, tried also multidisabler-samsung-3-1-zip
Magisk: latest
Format Data: yes
System: unmounted

That leads to Bootloot. Read somewhere, in that case to shutdown device and wait 3 min.
so i have a few questions:
how i can shutdown my device: i tried to quit bootloop by getting into TWRP. But in TWRP shutdown leads to reboot and boot loop?
Do i have the problems because of some rom changes or misuse from my side?

I tried to flash older rom to use "rooted stock" from mega.nz. But downgrading seams not to be allowed from samsung!?

Tried to visit the telegram channel, but seams not available anymore.
Tried to find out of which Weta Kernel is appropiate (TF1 or TF2) and looked for GitHub Sides, couldn´t find infos.
Tried to look for tutorial in the net. Seems all to be outdated. puhh.

Thanks in advance for your kind help! Much appreciated.

so answer to myself:
found out that WETA Kernel is optional. Flashed it without and works fine. Maybe it´s not CUK1 ready

Hey! Have you solved the problem? I have a Tab S6 with the same "SS RDX Whatchdog Reset" problem, I can't flash it via Odin.

Mentalmuso do you think you will be able to update twrp 3.6.0 for android 12 when it's released? This tablet is only got 1 more update left which hopefully will be out soon. Thanks

I just finished installing TWRP 3.6.1_9-15 on my T860 which had or still has android 11 and T860XXU4CUL2.

And that's where I am stuck at.

I flash Magick, reboot but it keeps coming back to twrp.
I also did the wipe format data and flashed the Verity thing.

Does Magisk work with the latest firmware versions?
