I installed the last version (twrp-3.7.0_12-1-ginkgo.img) on my Redmi Note 8T and bluetooth doesn't work anymore. Trying to go back to twrp-3.6.2_9-0-ginkgo.img doesn't solve the problem

I tried doing a dirty flash of the ROM but no luck...
Do you have any other suggestion? How can I understand where the problem is coming from?

I had the same problem. I changed rom from the last arrow to the last lineage. With clean flash everything work after 2 day's i change twrp from 3.7.0_12-1 to 3.6.2_9-0 i lost the Bluetooth.
I did clean flash again with twrp 3.6.2_9-0 and now no problem.

Thanks for sharing you experience.
While doing clean flash did you erase also data partition or only system?
Because I have some cloned apps but TWRP isn't able to decrypt user 999 and I don't know how to backup that data.
I just tried doing only a clean flash of recovery (3.6.2_9-0) but bluetooth still doesn't work

P.S.
Also tried erasing system and flashing official ROM from fastboot

I also lost bluetooth after twrp 3.7. I 've spent a lot of time to install all the necessary apps after a reset. Is there any way to get it fixed without resetting the phone?
I looked in logcat and saw a lot of errors : access denied for bluetooth

... really? That's weird! I can't imagine that flashing a custom recovery into the recovery partition can kill Bluetooth functionality. Or have you flashed a new firmware? This could lead to such errors...
May be it's a coincidence. I don't understand it too. But the only change made in the process. I'm using miui 12.0.6 android 10, rooted with magisk 25.1. It seems a permission problem. There must be a simple fix instead of resetting the whole thing (I don't reinstall debian because of a driver problem)

Can anyone please guide me how to install TWRP on my Redmi Note 8 stock ROM? I have stock Android 11 with MIUI Global 12.5.2 and bootloader succesfully unlocked.

I have tried using the latest version twrp-3.7.0_12-1-ginkgo from the official TWRP site. But upon booting to recovery for first time, it asks for decryption key. My screen lock key does not work. So I tried using the version twrp-3.6.2_9-0-ginkgo. With this one, TWRP works successfully when I enter recovery for the first time, no key is asked. But is there anything else I should be doing to ensure TWRP is the permanent recovery? The moment I boot to system from recovery, and try to enter TWRP recovery again, it enters FASTBOOT which probably is indicating that TWRP has been replaced by stock recovery. I have even tried flashing TWRP once again after entering recovery for the first time using the install option inside of TWRP, but even this does not flash it permanently.

I am sure I am missing something. Kindly help me as to what is the correct version of twrp to use and what are the correct steps to follow to ensure my recovery is permanently changed to TWRP. I am just clueless what needs to be done.

My main objective is to then flash Magisk for root, and try the Viper4Android FX which I have been so badly missing for a few years now. I do not plan on installing any custom roms at the moment.

I finally fixed the problem using latest version of OrangeFox recovery available for this phone.

Once I boot into system, Bluetooth kept crashing. To fix this problem, I read in another thread that doing a factory reset will solve all the problems. So I entered recovery again and just formatted the phone using the Format Data option. Once done, everything is working perfectly, including Magisk and the repackaged Viper4Android.

Hi! Can you please boot into the recovery, do nothing and boot to system again, and check whether bluetooth is still working or not? Last time I did this bluetooth stopped working again. No pressure, do it at your own risk, only if u have time. Otherwise don't do it, but if you do, then please let me know how it went.

Yes, I confirm that Bluetooth is working perfectly even after I boot into recovery and just do a normal boot to system.

The only thing not working for me is taking a backup from OrangeFox recovery. I tried saving the data in my SD card couple of times but it failed. This is not a deal breaker for me at the moment.

Yes, my phone is encrypted. Everytime I boot into OrangeFox recovery, it asks for decryption key. Upon entering the screen lock key, it successfully decrypts the phone but its possible it is not decrypting the SD card data.

And this is probably the problem but you can use/flash (during flashing the rom you have to do it right way) DFE_DMV_FE (disable DM verity force encrypt) zip file and then you could save and recover your data after that. Or for me it is working.

There's any beta version that supports Android 13? I need to access encrypted data from TWRP after a problem with a custom rom. Thank you
