I need to clarify for myself and other noobs.

Does the one click include the android sdk as well as busybox, supersu, and the su binary? Or does that all need to be done first manually?

I've done all that, but because of the OTAs I need to redo it. If your one click zip will redo it all that is great. I have zero programming skills but some understanding of the logic. If the zip does do all the adb commands to get superuser back up and running, would you be able to pare it down so that it did that but didn't install the files again?

The chickenstock Rom you're developing looks great and I'll try that soon. I'm brand new to root,I rooted my Tab 2 to help get APKs on to the OUYA, but haven't installed any roms.

The one click just installs cwm. I'll look into making a flashable zip for the time being that includes superuser, busybox, and the su binary. It shouldn't be too hard to make. The idea behind doing just the cwm is that once more ROMs come out, a user will 1) use the one click to install cwm, then 2) flash a custom ROM that includes superuser, busybox, and su binary.

Can't get the one click to detect the device for the Life of me

I am on Windows 7 64-bit

Ran the Bat file and followed instructions. Driver installed fine but I keep getting error device not found when it tries to flash

Am I missing something?

Does the Ouya show up in My Computer? If not, it could be the cable connection. Some people have reported that certain micro usb cables aren't long enough to reach all the way inside the ouya's micro usb port. I would try a different cable help rule it out. Let me know how it goes.

When I finally get my Ouya and to go to install CWM on it do I just need the usb cable or do I need the HDMI connected also?
micro USB cable, USB keyboard plugged into ouya (to navigate cwm), and HDMI connected (to see what's going on

You can either use adb shell or a terminal emulator app on the Ouya to run to run "su; reboot recovery"

Cable appears to work fine but i could try a different one

Computer detects the OUYA (actually shows up as OUYA/External Drive)

Yet the script fails to detect the system and install the recovery.

I might need to do it manually

It happens the same to me, but I wont risk it by doing it manually. My usb cable is the one from my S3, could it be some incompatibility?

You need to get it to show up as mtp I'm fairly certain. It definitely needs to be using adb drivers so check those out.

Do I need to do the manual procedure, then do the 1click?
And how do I put my Ouya in adb?
Sorry for the newb question!

Well looks like I am late to this party, but now I am here in this section to see what I can do with my Ouya. =)

So before I fiddle with things, does installing CWM mess up the Ouya OTA firmwares of the future or mess up accessing the Ouya Store?

Sucess

Another success here! Windows 7 didn't like the Ouya drivers (yellow triangle) so I updated driver and pointed the system at the OneClick package and it updated fine - I'm now performing a full backup before I start to mess with Custom Roms!

Thanks

It doesn't mess up store access, but when new updates are out, they will try to be installed. You will be rebooted into recovery, but you shouldn't run the update (the update script might not work). However, when you reboot, the Ouya will try to run the update again. I'm trying to figure out how to stop the ouya from looking for updates.
