It's not a driver issue. The script run on the Ouya is flaking out on su. If you adb shell into the Ouya, then run su, you can manually run the commands in the sh script (ignore the echo commands and the su -c)

Thank you! It works now.

I'm backing up a recovery now.

Now when it rebooted into recovery there is a new device on my pc (win7) called ouya_1_1 and it's asking for a driver.. do you know where I can find it. x86. I tried pointing it to the google usb drivers again but no go.

What do you do if you stupidly chose yes at the end of the one-click install of the recovery how do you undo it and what is the repercussion?

Hello,
How uninstall the CWM ? I can't update with official update...
Thanks.
You need to flash the stock recovery or use dd to manually overwrite the SOS partition with the stock recovery. I've seen at least two stock recovery files around this thread and the first recovery thread. I know the rae image I'd out there, not sure if there is a flashable zip around.

WOWZZA!.. finally got this working. I'll tell you... this Ouya stuff sure makes me feel like a total noob. I'm not a developer. But rooting my phones and tab was a piece of cake compared to the hoops i've had to go through for the Ouya :banghead: . Every step I complete feels like VICTORY!! :D

The upside of course is that I'm learning new things. I think I'm still a bit petrified of potentially bricking this little box. But definitely feel better about it all now that I've got CWM recovery on it.

Thanks a million!.

Btw, ended up going the dd way. But couldn't figure out the remount part at first, since it points directly to a file. I ended up using: mount -o remount,rw /system
...just in case someone else gets stuck there.

One more thing: a plug for the app Quick Boot. I'm in no way assosiated with it or it's developer. But it's just a simple utility with options for booting into recovery mode and bootloader (fastboot), as well as reboot and shut down--not just sleep, an actual shut down (includes widgets).

cheers.

Does this Root the OUYA? Whats the point of CWM when we cant boot into it?
Actually, you can boot into CWM. I use an app called Quick Boot. Otherwise you can boot into recovery through adb.

Though CWM is still 'experimental' it's pretty much fully functional. The problem is that, if something goes wrong --either botched OTA updates, or custom ROM sending you into a bootloop-- there is no hardware option to get into recovery, and adb won't work either. That's what makes it risky right now to install custom ROMs/ Kernels.

cheers

Does anybody know why CWM does not display on some TV's. Is this going to be fixed or something to live with. I have taken to using a HDMI to DVI adapter when I need recovery but that means moving everything each time.
