Works great!! Just want to no is there any way I can use the ouya controller cuz I don't want Always have to Grab my keyboard to boot up?
There is no bluetooth support in recovery. The controller can not connect, so no way to use it. Right now you can use the power button to select the first menu option and start normally. You need a keyboard to scroll through selections and do other things. I think in the future changing the recovery to use a power button short press to scroll down and a long press to select might be a good idea.

This recovery is a game changer and hopefully we will see much more development!

Really a great idea. And to be honest autoboot after some seconds is all I would want to be added. Hmm maybe ability to mount external hdd or similar and install Rom/backup from there. I'm happy to have as little space blocked on my device for fallback as possible.

The installation was not successful. Please try again.
I've tried on Windows and Mac and it still does the same thing.

How come whenever I choose "Reboot your OUYA to it's primary ROM." it reboots back into recovery?
The only way for me to reboot back into my ROM is going to Advanced Options -> Reboot recovery. It is just me?

This would mean that the installation wasn't successful. Try flashing the zip for the recovery method.

Seems the roles are currently reversed. Try flashing again.

What ROM are you running?

I'm running latest stock. Is there anyway to uninstall this and start over? I'll try to fastboot boot into cwm and install this through there

EDIT: Ok here's what I did:
- adb reboot bootloader
- fastboot boot OuyaCWMrecovery6.0.3.2.img
- flashed update_v1.0.0.zip
- Reboot into Ouya Safe Recovery
Now when I select "Reboot your OUYA to it's primary ROM." it boots into my primary ROM and when I select "Reboot recovery" it reboots into Ouya Safe Recovery.
Also when I fully shutdown the Ouya and power it up, it boots straight into recovery.
adb reboot recovery no longer boots into recovery, it just reboots into my primary ROM.
adb reboot boots into recovery.

Does everything sound ok?

How come I can't get back into my stock ROM at all? Every reboot goes back and forth between safe recovery and cmw recovery.. Help!!!

Is there any way to reverse the flash and remove safe recovery?

Same thing happened to me.
Here's what I did:
- adb reboot bootloader
- fastboot boot OuyaCWMrecovery6.0.3.2.img
- Factory reset -> format system -> format data
- Install Stock ROM.
- Flash update_v1.0.0.zip
- Wipe cache and reboot

Yup everything sounds good!
Great! Thanks

I've been looking to wipe my OUYA for a fresh start, and want input if this is safe. I just wiped my Nexus 7 after the 4.3 update and su went haywire, but they are very different devices.

Using my current CWM install
1. Backup
2. Format /system /cache /data
3. Sideload OTA 409

4. Install OUYA safe recovery via Windows
5. Flash OUYA stockplus
6. Backup

Play

Can I use adb connected throughout the first three steps? To pull backup and then sideload the OTA. Formatting system, cache and data should leave the partition table intact and eliminate the need to factory reset and reboot, correct? This seems relatively safe if I can do the format and flash without rebooting in between.

Hi

i used the the cmw recovery method to install and it looks like it has worked. when i reboot it boots into ouya safe recovery v1.0.0 and the stock rom did boot from this menu.

I am now trying to install OUYA-StockPlus-1.0.409.zip

and are getting an error

Warning : no file contexts

is there something i am doing wrong or missing.

now i get stuck in a boot loop when i try and boot primary rom.
pull power and get back to Ouya Safe Recovery.

I made a backup in cmw before i installed safe recovery should i try and restore that.
