No, magisk is nomore a ZIP.
Magisk is now apk only, but that works as zip too.
If you flash magisk as zip using TWRP or any other recovery project, you can brick your device.
Everything you need to do is flash the patched boot.img

Yes. Vbmeta verifies if any partition was changed.
So, you need patched vbmeta:

I tried dirty flashing MIUI 12.5 global from miui 12.0.1 global using Skyhawk recovery it works perfectly without having a problem

I suggest you to try all versions, if you can.
Flashing recovery does not brick your device, you can flash another easily and safely.
I suggest you to flash recovery using fastboot.
Certainly, more than one will works to you.
