twrp 3.0.2 has been released please build itUpdated to TWRP 3.0.0-0 on Feb 13, 2016.
NOTE: The MTP feature of TWRP causes issues with ADB access while in recovery. You may need to toggle "Disable MTP" a from the "mounts" menu to get ADB access.
TWRP does occasionally give a "failed to mount /system" error. If you get this error, simply reboot recovery and it should work.
Now properly supports all set_metadata functions in newer updater-scripts.

@ketut.kumajaya has provided us with a working zImage which I combined with his previous TWRP attempts to make this recovery.
Please report any bugs here in this thread.
Please take a moment to say thanks and/or donate to @ketut.kumajaya for helping us out.
I have a T210R, so I haven't tested on a T210.
Thank you to everyone who has (and still will) help in testing!!!!
Credits go to:
@ketut.kumajaya for getting this initially working (see THIS post)
@Jamison904 for giving us root
@hkjr for getting ketut to help
and of course the Team Win group
@Tomsgt for the video

Watch THIS VIDEO tutorial for a step by step visual guide for performing the instructions listed below (thanks @Tomsgt for the video).
Supplied in 3 formats:
- Odin flashable tar.md5 (for first time installation)
- Recovery flashable zip (requires a custom recovery to currently be installed)
- .img file (for those who use Flashify or other direct methods).
Instructions for ODIN: (use the one with "tar" in the name)
1. Download ODIN on your computer.
2. Power off the device.
3. Restart in "Download Mode" by holding the "HOME" button, "Volume Down" and "Power" all at the same time (for about 5 seconds).
4. Hit the "Volume Up" to enter download mode.
5. Start the ODIN exe program. Un-check Auto Reboot. See notes about ODIN below.
6. Connect the device via USB to your computer. Verify the device shows as "Added" in the Message box. If it doesn't show then you need the Samsung USB drivers (just install KIES to get them).
7. Select "PDA" then choose the recovery file you want to flash.
8. Hit "START". Wait for Odin to finish (~10-15 seconds). The message area will display "RES OK" when finished.
9. Restart directly to recovery mode before rebooting into OS.(Hold POWER, Volume UP, and the HOME button all at the same time. When you see the Samsung Logo, let go of the POWER button, but keep holding the Volume UP and HOME until you see the recovery screen).
After you get the custom recovery working, you can flash the latest SuperSu zip to get root.
Internal card gets mounted as "/data/media". You'll have to hit "up a level" on the folder list on the left to find it.
Notes about ODIN
--Make sure that "Re-Partition" is NOT checked.
--Auto Reboot can be un-checked if TWRP doesn't flash correctly on your device. Some have reported that un-checking Auto Reboot fixes this issue. If you un-check Auto Reboot, you will need to reboot the device yourself (refer back to step 10).
Instructions for recovery flashable version:
- Boot into your previously installed custom recovery.
- Select the Install Zip option.
- Find the recovery zip.
- Flash.
- Reboot recovery.
- Enjoy your new recovery.
Flash at own risk!!!!

gr8nole please make a cm 12 or cm13 rom for this device i am waiting because i tried many times but i couldnt make a port of any rom please make it
I have a samsung galaxy smt210r and I tried installing a stock firmware after installing a custom one.
I used this post to install it.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho....php?t=2459734
But I don't know if something went wrong and now the tab won't display anything. Hopefully I can get into the odin mode and odin is recognizing but now i can't flash another firmware because it needs a pit file to partition something.
I downloaded a pit file from this link
https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho....php?t=2722948
But still i still can't get it to work somehow.
Any help?

You could try installing the full firmware. Other than that, not sure what else would work. You can find the full firmware on sammobile.com.

What is your build number?
Are you rooted already?
Try flashing it in Odin with auto reboot NOT checked. Then boot straight into recovery when it is finished flashing.
Not sure if that will help or not, but I read it somewhere.

Did that too.
The problem isn't that it's just that I can't seem to partition the damn thing with anything.
Oh Well! Thanks a lot though.
PS: I am afraid to root my s7 now.
ok, so how do i explain this?Hi,
I hope this thread is not closed.
I have a samsung galaxy tab 3 SM T311, and I would like to install a custom rom.
Hence, I flashed TWRP with odin.
Everythying is absolutely fine with odin, or at least it seems so. The flashing process is marked as ”passed” from odin. I have odin version 3.14.4
However, I cannot proceed further. Here it is exaclty what happens:
Once I close odin, I unplug the usb cable, I hold on POWER+VOLUME UP+HOME until the tablet reboots.
As soon as the samsung logo appears, I release just the power button but I keep pressing on HOME + VOLUME UP to enter recovery mode. And......nothing happens. The device is just stuck on samsung logo and it stays in this condition; releasing all the buttons and/or pressing them again does not help.
If, from this condition, I just hold the power button, I can reboot the device normally to the original stok. Obviously then I have to reflash TWRP again and so on...
Any Idea on how to fix this and enter TWRP mode?
Three additional info:
normally, when I turn the tablet on, the samsung logo appears and the system is booted.
Now I noticed one thing: after the tablet is stuck on the logo, if I reboot, the screen goes black, samsung logo appears again, then screen black again, then logo again, then normal boot. So it looks like there is some kind of attempt to boot that succeds only the second time. Once it is succesfully rebooted, it goes back to normality. I don’t know whether tihis info it useful or not.
Another info: I tried with different TWRP versions. When I follow the posted link to download TWRP, there are several versions available. I tried with both T110.TWRP.2.7.0.1.tar.md5 and T210.TWRP.3.0.0-0.tar.md5 (the oldest and the most recent), but no difference. Am I doing something wrong here?
Last info: this tablet was purchased by my parents long time ago through a telephone service provider (like vodafone). When I turn the tablet on, after the samsung logo, the logo of the company appears. In the system there is also plenty of their crappy old apps (besides the samsung ones), that cannot be uninstalled. I am wandering whether having such a system installed adds somehow an extra layer of protection that prevents TWRP from running.
Any advice is greatly appreciated. thank you in advance
man, thanks. thank you so much. I really mean it. I had been searching for all possible explaination and the answer was in front of my eyes.ok, so how do i explain this?
your tablet (a sm-t310 with an 8-inch display) is incompatible with twrp for this tablet (a sm-t210 with a 7-inch display) so, unfortunately, this is not the right forum for you, please head here to find twrp for your tablet
