This link is old, and offers only a superseded version of TWRP. So why post it?
This is the latest TWRP for the Note 7 that - based on my usage - works with the Note FE. I have successfully backed up my device and performed a full system, boot and data restore with this version.
Yep, added link to "redirect" to the updated TWRP so anyone else interested in using TWRP knows where to find it.
I'm currently on N935K....QG6, is there a way to install TWRP and root without factory resetting?
It doesnt matter what firmware your on you have to format data to have twrp working properly.
So the answer is no, read the linked twrp thread would be helpful for future questions.

I didn't even try. I had some issues with my Note FE and T-Mobile so I returned the FE.
It didnt work, I have the F variant. Could have gone Note 8 but its just too pricey. We need devs maan!!
Yeah I went S8+ and then bought the Note 8. Trust me Note 8 is worth its price.
Too late for that, I already went Note FE. Ill be waiting for the Note 9 or if I suddenly get some money, I might get one
