@ianmacd
Bear with me, I can't seem to get my PC to boot past the POST screen at the moment.
Seems an issue with the BIOS as I'm getting a DMI pool error.
Probably gonna have to remove all the peripherals one by one and hope something's gone bad.
HDD is fine, plugged it into the laptop.
@ashyx

No worries, my friend. Just post it when you can.

I hope you're back up and running soon.

So I'm a newbie at rooting. I did install twrp pre pie install but didn't fully image. Tab just OWA updated to pie. Upgrade looked like it worked but got the message that the firmware didn't update. Am I screwed or do I just need to follow through with the rest of the root? I should note that I have 5 days left returning to Amazon.

You can't ota a modified device. You would need to return to stock first.
Either restore your twrp backup or use odin to flash stock.

i m sorry if i m out of topic. i just got a samsung tab s4 t837t. can i root it? if yes which method can i use?

Can someone confirm if this works with the T837A AT&T version?

Tnis root method was tested on the 830 and 835.
the 837, according to its specs, is the at&t flavor of the 835 with the exact same hardware...

I'd risk saying that it should work....
But this is speculation.

has anyone succesfully Upgraded pie with odin and magisk root active and, most importantly, avoiding a system reset?
