Update from 07/16 should be available.

Changelog:
• New ui
• Added backup and restore and flash image for system, vendor, product, system_ext partitions separately
• Fixed a warning face asking to update logical partitions
• Removed backup Cache partition
• Full decryption support for all a11 roms

Notes:
• MIRROR NOT ALLOWED
• Based on the last official OrangeFox Stable R11.1_0 miatoll
• All features working perfectly. No bug found. If you find something, let me know

Credit:
• OrangeFox team
Considering that all features work, why do you call this release Alpha?

I can see why the mirror isn't allowed. That web site is offering me to download a file with the *.zip.apk at the end that resembles a zip file. I wouldn't touch this wit a 10ft pole! Possible spyware!

The site has a lot of spam and deceptive links ...... don't download the zip.apk file .... thats spyware .... there is another link that appears once it generates the download link ..... compare the file size, the spyware is much smaller.

Can you give us a hint how to find (Google) the file? For example, key words to Google for. Thanks

BTW, I was trying to download it from my phone thus the said Web site "offering" me an apk file.
If the recovery Dev is serious about people using his product he should put it on a legit site.

There is a new version (from 8.8.) which you can search for in the "PocoX3OfficialUpdates" telegram channel. Unfortunately, this is the only source I found. Furthermore, mirroring is not allowed and the zip is uploaded on a host that violates the xda rules so I was told I am not allowed to post it.

Any other way to get hold of this as none-Telegram-user?

No need to install Telegram. Search for the channel and open the site, on the bottom there is a small, difficult to see "Preview channel". Click on that and you can read the contents of that channel. On the top is a search bar, search for Orangefox. The newest result is on the bottom. Cheers

Just to show how "secure" that social app is...

Anyway, what's with these "devs" that release on such shady download sites? Is it pirated stuff they're releasing? What happened to androidfilehost.com, etc.? 🙄🤦🏻‍♂️

Whether we like it or not (FTR, I don't), it's the wining trend -- XDA is looking more and more like a hall of lost souls... and the stringent linking policies aren't helping much. :devilish:

... Orange recovery, not stable at all as I read here, will let me to flash MAGISK Canary ? Please let me know, I would like to start using my new phone...
Hm, not stable at all, you say... Really? Then I must be incredible lucky, cos I'm flashing ROMs with A6 version for almost one month and nothing bad happened to me (or my phone :) )... Main thing is to know what you are doing, else bad things can and probably will happen...

All I can say is you are incredible lucky too, because here is brand new Beta version of Ofox with a lot of fixes, bigger, shinier... found on *elegram and is up to you what will you do... I flashed it already and will test in a few days what works and what not...

    bugs:
all reboot functions works only on second try (but it works)
edit: this could be related to your currently flashed fw
(on 12.0.3 reboot only works on second try, on 12.0.5 it started to work correctly, on the other hand now sorting files in ofox is not remembered anymore )

seems brigudav is on fire, so here's new version of OFOX, probably bugfix release, no changelog, but different md5, than yesterday, so redownload please, thanks, this time we also have flashable zip too, enjoy...

    md5 (img): 751933e8d51141f3faca61fecd8a756c

    - new version of OFOX is here (finally!), many thanks to @brigudav
    - no official changelog yet, but first look tells this:
-- files sorting is finally remembered between reboots
-- naming of your external sdcard changed from sdcard1 to external_sd
-- location name of your existing backups changed (was some numerical value, now is POCO_X3), so you need to relocate your backup files from old directory to POCO_X3 else they will not be visible in this version of OFOX
    - enjoy!
