Dear all,

I was on Oreo and wanted to go back to the nougat version that last was upated beginning of Dec.
I crooked up bc I wanted update first TWRP via the app and stupidly selected the tar.
When I then rebooted the tablet no longer started - unsurprisingly...

Ok - thought no prob as via odin I always can go back to another TWRP - i.e this one.

I no longer get a connection to the tablet - it is not recognised when I am in download mode.
-> cannot flash via odin..

Do I have a prob with the hardware or am I overlooking sth ?

The tablet says the following when in dwnload mode:
Odin mode (in Red)
Product name : SM-P605
Current binary: Custom
System Status: Custom
Knox warranty Void:0x1 (4) ;))
Qualcomm secure boot: Enable (CSB) - in Grey
AP SWREV: S2, T2, A2, A2, P2 - in Grey
Secure download: Enable - in blue
UDC: Start

and btw - I am doing this via a laptop and I also see a bit of a flickering -> simply not enough juice ?

Tx for any ideas what I might need to do differently ?

I´m pretty sure it´s the battery. Try another cable as well but before, leave it charging at least 50%

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8
It seems the battery is no longer charging..

Its almost dead and I only can get into download mode when its charging - connected to PC or charger
(even before it worked but took ages to charge - 1 day for a full charge).
However, when I am now connected to my laptop (tried diff cables) it never gets recognised in odin..
(seems I have reached end of life of the battery or are there any clues how to else get it going)
Anyhow - will try but this might be the end of a great tablet

My SM-P605 must be reinstall

Hi, it seems to me that you explain how can i do to re-onstall my SM-P605.

Could you tel me how can i do to do it?

Thank's

This is only for SM-P605 (lt03lte)! Even loading an custom recovery will irreversible trigger Knox to 0x1!

Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
 * Your warranty is now void.
 *
 * We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
 * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
 * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
 * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
 * you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.
 *
 */

This is an unoffical build of TWRP from my device sources. It includes a few fixes for some stuff (see list below).

For further information please check the official TWRP thread in Original Android Development Forum.

Installation:

Important: You have to be on 4.4.2 Bootloader or newer (e.g. with flashing 4.4.2/5.1.1 Firmware via Odin)

Using an existing custom recovery: download zip, TWRP: Install > select zip > swipe
Using Odin: download tar, switch on device in download mode, AP: select tar > start
Using Flashify/Flashfire: Use img

What is working:
-MTP
-Brightness settings
-Vibration
-No delay between recovery and splashscreen
-...

What is not working/bugs:
-(default brightness is 100 % (my default value does nothing))
-You tell me
-...

This device is the only one where I enabled Adopted Storage, so I don't know if this a common problem. With it enabled I can't flash anything with recovery. Both internal and external SD are not visible or empty, and even if I copy zips into system folder, TWRP doesn't see them. Is there a workaround?

Only solution I found is using a different sd to flash files, but it's complicated and annoying.

Actually only internal and adopted storage are invisible. External SD or USB drive are both visible. To get external SD download Root Essentials and you can format part of your SD card as internal. Or just flash from USB. I recommend the former as I've used it on many devices.

Has anyone gotten this to work on SM-P605K model?

It's the same old error that shows "Could not do normal boot".

After updating twrp to 3.2 everything seemed to work fine until I tried to flash the recent unofficial Lineage 14.1, then Opengapps, then Supersu.
Unofficial Lineage 20180524 went fine, opengapps failed with ERROR 64 (architecture problem), supersu failed with "bad recovery" message. I tried to install old opengapps which I know are the correct architecture, with the same effect.
I have reverted to the older version of twrp and installed the gapps and supersu without any problem, so it may seem that something's wrong with this release.

Thanks @lepierot for quoting the opening post, so I could download and go back to the previous version.

-My first backup with new TWRP took way too long. 2000 seconds for about 5GB w/o MD5 checksums.
-Probably you got a 64bit GAPPS,no workee.
-SuperSu is dead, time to switch to Magisk. SuperSu worked fine for me up to Android 6.1,since then no updates and Chainfire has officially stopped development of any root apps and presumably also his non-root stuff like the cast app.
-On my Galaxy S5 earlier this year it became impossible to install any updates, even any versions of LOS, dirty and clean. Only restoring my only backup worked flawlessly. I then switched to AOKP w/o problems, because of bugged AS implementation from there to RR and probably by now i could go back to LOS also...

You must mount the system partition in TWRP. Then you can install the opengapps without error 64.

ERROR 64: wrong architecture

Still have ERROR 64: wrong architecture when I try to flash opengapps (arm/stock)
System partition in TWRP is mounted. Any ideas?

Did anybody try a Nandroid Backup with the latest of this TWRP Version?
Can u backup your EFS and Modem Partition?

I started flashing TWRP on my still Stock Samsung Android 5.1.1 ROM.
The latest TWRP 3.2.1.0 version wont show the efs, modem partition for backup.
In my backup process only the following partitions are visible:
Code:
/System
/Data
/Cache

4G/LTE is working, so its not broken.
Can someone help me with this? Do I need another tool?

Thanks in advance! :)

Download Root Essentials. It's tool allows you to format you SD card as internal, but you can choose only 80 or 90%. This leaves a part of your SD card as external. If you want to flash you need to move all zip files to the external storage. I use adoptable storage on many devices and you're right, TWRP won't read the card. This trick has solved everything.
