I've tried to flash this two ways: either through my existing TWRP as an .img or via the official TWRP app. Either way, when I try to reboot to recovery I get an error on the splash screen 'Recovery booting..... Could not do normal boot' then it goes into download mode. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I am definitely SM-T813!! Thanks in advance.

I tried using 1.4.1 that is in the ubuntu repos but it couldn't download the pim from the device. I suppose I could pull from git and compile master but i'm a little time strapped. What version of heimdall are you using?
I had to compile it as the one from Fedora repositories wasn't working.

Did anyone try to restore a backup of stock Android? I have a PIN set and fingerprint, but after a restore PIN and fingerprint are not recognized.

So there is no way to get access.

I had that too... Nothing I could do with that.

But, glad I said goodbye to stock.

T813 is officially supported now by lineage. :)

Well would love to switch, but wifi is not working for me at work because of enterprise wifi (TTLS) is NOT working.

Keys that are stored in the keystore cannot be retrieved (ASN1 failure).

That's a particularly annoying feature of restoring N (and maybe M) ROMs thru TWRP. You can get around it by going to file manager in TWRP after restoring, then data/system/ and delete 'locksettings.db' and anything that ends '*.key' (for me 'gatekeeper.password.key' and 'gatekeeper.pattern.key'). It removes the pattern or pin protection but your fingerprints remain intact.
