Dees_Troy & Ivanich can you explain us what differ Between the new official twrp 2.8.4.0 from Teamwin web site and yours Ivanich ?

What I believe to know :
- Teamwin build based on Omnirom with a "generic" kernel for pyramid
- Ivanich one based on your own cm12 and your specific kernel dedicated to pyramid with f2fs support

Am I wrong ? What else ?

Thanks for your answer and thank you very much for your work.
The main difference: The twrp for sensation from official website will most likely brick your device and ivanich's won't.

TWRPRecovery and Chargeing

@ Ivanich: wil the phone charge when off with this TWRPrecovery ?, if not could you implement it, so it charges when off, just like 4EXTRecovery. :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

Yes the phone will charge when off but recovery, 4ext or twrp, have nothing to do with that. If your phone is off, no recovery is started.

Wrong. The phone will charge, but also the phone will start silently the recovery. So while you charge your phone while it's off, it's not really off, because it starts the recovery.

The reasion why i wanted to know was, with 4ext recovery when the phone is off you know that it is chargeing because the led lights op orange when chargeing and green fully charge. but with twrp there is no lights when phone is off.:confused:

So, when you plug the charger, the kernel of the recovery and few binairies are loaded ?
I didn't know that. Thanks to have corrected me. I will make some search.

TWRP Recovery

I found a bug I think when I power off the phone, and then try to power back on again, it doesn’t boot op anymore, and I even can’t enter TWRP recovery. I have to pull battery to boot op.:confused:

Yes, after upgrade to 2.8.5.0-r1 I have the same symptom.
I have looked at twrp's github issue tracker and found nothing about this problem...

I'm on 2.8.4.0r11 and I just realised that I have to do the same thing but only when I plug the charger in and disconnect, the phone doesn't boot up unless yeah you pull the battery, I can also see how annoying charging would be with phone off without LED but why charge with the phone off?

Yes, I'm not exactly sure about why that happens, but that's how it works.

Well charging with phone off is much faster. Also sometimes it happens that phone shuts down because of low battery, it's kinda annoying to get phone running again then :silly:

All is fine here. Made some FS conversions f2fs <-> ext4, format/wipe, install roms & PA Gapps with 2.8.4.0 and now 2.8.5.0-r3. I don't feel the need to come back to 4ext.
I have just an issue to install mods with Aroma Installer :inactive on screen buttons.
Thanks Ivanich.

Everythings fine with your twrp builds.
Only bugs I noticed are with aroma installer.

Dumlock is the same as SmartFlash on 4ext. Just active it and you'll be fine.

Based on TWRP site, there are many steps to do.
Does this steps is right?
1. Format all partitions and change /data & / cache to F2FS
2. On twrp, advanced, htc dumlock, reflash recovery to boot
3. Install CM12 rom
4. Go back to htc dumlock, restore original boot
5. Reboot to System

I thought you were talking about dumlock, which is the same as 4ext smartflash and only needed if your s-on. Switching to f2fs has nothing to do with dumlock.

My device still S-On so that I need to know how to use dumlock. I think it was easy just like 4EXT Smartflash, just enable the option and you are ready to go, but Dumlock needs more steps. I just wanna try CM12 with F2FS.
